About this Cook
I am a 23 yr old stay at home mom. I have 1 daughter(Lillie) who will be 2 on 6/5/07, she is my pride and joy. My husband and I have been married for 3 years, each year only gets better(with a lot of work):o) Cooking is one of my comforts,it is almost theraputic at times,I am very comfortable in the kitchen and enjoy trying new things. My husband is very easy to cook for and will try anything I cook. My daughter on the other hand is very picky, and I am constantly having to try new ways to get her to eat ANY kind of veggie, she would prefer to eat meat, cheese, and fruit. One of our familys greatest hobbies is traveling, since Lillie was born we have traveled to the Bahamas,Flordia,Hawaii,Mexico, Canada,California,Las Vegas. We hope to travel the world (may take awhile):o)We want Lillie to get to experience all cultures of life and just have fun being able to travel. I am very lucky that I am able to be a stay at home mom,and live such a wonderful life with such a wonderful family.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook pretty much anything. I enjoy trying to turn our meals into something tasty and healthy, so I cook lots of veggies and meat. With the nice weather lately I have discovered that I work great with the BBQ, so that is something I am really enjoying at the moment, but once winter starts I love to bake and make that comfort food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmas carrott cake by FAR!!!! I just remember any family gathering being excited for grandma to make her carrott cake, it was always gone by the end of the night. SO GOOD!
My cooking triumphs
Having my family be able to enjoy my cookies, they have been turning out perfect lately!
My cooking tragedies
Cookies, they either used to turn out like biscuts or pancakes. That is why cookies now are concered one of my triumphs, I am finally doing something right with recipes!! Yeay :o)

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe
These were very good! I made them for a family dinner, and added a little bit of heavy cream (like they needed the fat)They turned out awesome, and were a big hit.
