Banana Nut Bread I

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2011
I made this in mini loaves for a Church bake sale last year(It made 8 mini loaves so I did 2 batches). They were gone in less than thirty minutes! Everyone raved about them a begged for the recipe. It's really moist and the buttermilk makes all the difference. Its now time for the bake sale again a people are still talking about my delicious banana nut bread and they asked me to bring it again. I'm so glad I saved this one in my recipe box. Its definately a keeper!

Bread and Butter Pickles II

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2013
Very easy and came out delicious. The only change I made to the recipe was that I used red peppers instead of green for a more colorful look. On the technical side, I put the jars in a hot water bath for 12 minutes to seal the them so they would keep in the pantry. Overall they were a hit!

Emily's Pickled Eggs

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2013
This recipe was just what I was looking for. When I was a kid we used to visit my grandmother who lived in a tiny little town. There was a little country store and they had a big jar of pickled eggs on the counter. My grandma used to always get me one and they tasted exactly like this. For those who don't like the color, I will say that from what I remember the eggs were always an off white color so that is perfectly normal. I also love the taste of the cloves but maybe if you don't like it you can strain out the pickling spice before pouring the liquid over the eggs. I personally would not change a thing. The recipe is perfect just the way it is!

Rainbow Roasted Pepper Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
I made this for dinner tonight and all I can say is WOW! It was so tasty and it made the house smell wonderful when the peppers and garlic were roasting. It was also very filling for less than 200 calories. Its perfect for those of us on a weightloss journey. I substituted ground cumin for the fennel seed because I didn't have any. I was also out of lemon so I used a little white wine vinegar instead. This is recipe is a keeper!

Tomato 'n' Shrimp Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2009
Really tasty! I added red and green bellpeppers. Also used a jar of spaghetti sauce instead of diced tomatoes and paste because that's all I had. My husband and stepson practically inhaled it!

Momma's Cornbread Dressing

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2013
This is my standard go to recipe for Thanksgiving dressing. The name is perfect because it tastes exactly like my Mama's and Granny's and great-granny's recipe that I've been eating my whole life. Anybody who grew up in Texas and ate cornbread dressing for Thanksgiving, look no further, this is recipe we all grew up with. Tastes like my childhood.

Broccoli Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2011
This was really good. The only changes I made was using cream of chicken instead of cream of mushroom soup and I cooked my chicken first in a pan with some chopped onion and garlic, S&P. It was really tasty.

This is way better than the stuff you can buy in the little packets premade. We use it on fajitas too!

Mushroom Spinach Soup

Reviewed: May 12, 2011
I was looking for a recipe that was HcG diet friendly and this one worked. I just sauteed the veggies in a nonstick pan and left out the butter. I also left out the leeks because I didnt' have any. I substituted basil and a pinch of mint leaves for the savory again because I didn't have any. I also added fennel seed and some crushed red pepper to give it a little kick. I also the veggies in as others suggested. Overrall I thought it was delicious!

Freestyle Apple Tart

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2010
I was skeptical because it was sounds so simple but it came out great. The only changes I made was adding a little nutmeg and vanillia extract and I used half white sugar half brown sugar. I also left out the cool whip. I really enjoyed the tart and creaminess of the cream cheese with the sweetness of the apples and the crunchy crust. Even my picky eater husband loved it. This one is a keeper!

The Best Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2013
No offense to the original poster but I think this is the most boring meatloaf recipe ever. It is typical bland tasteless meatloaf that one would expect in a school cafeteria. It was just a plain block of meat. Martha Stewart's meatloaf recipe is still the best. I only tried this one because I was looking for something less time consuming. It was faster to make but very disappointing to eat.

Cheater's Enchiladas

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2013
This was fabulous! My husband ate half the dish by himself and there were no leftovers. Its so easy to put together too. I used red sauce instead of green and added some shredded chicken to the cheese mixture. I already have requests to make it again. This one's a keeper!
