Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2007
I used margarine instead of shortening, added an extra 1/4 cup of peanut butter, and some crush wonderbars. They turned out great crunchy on the outside chewy on the inside. My peanut Butter fiend loved them! Definately a keeper!

Reviewed: May 22, 2007
Used this yesterday for my first time making buttertarts (or any pastry for that matter)...pastry turned out really flaky and good but was fairly greasy not sure if it was something I did...or didn't do I will definately try it again but maybe a little less shortening

Healthy Banana Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2007
I needed a recipe for my sister who is allergic to wheat so I made these. But I took out the dates, added an egg and some extra oatmeal. After they had cooled I dipped the tops in some semi sweet chocolate. They are amazing but don't keep for long so make sure they are eaten within a couple days or they go soggy

Tasty BBQ Corn on the Cob

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2007
Very Good....made this a few times this summer with different variations....I found it much better if you wrap some of the husks in with the foil gives it a slightly sweeter taste and keeps corn from burning on the BBQ

Not one of my favourites but our dinner guest who loves curry thought it was fabulous(he gave it a 4) altho we did come up with some things we would change next time...This time I added Cauliflower, carrots, and grape tomoatoes and served with Jeera fried rice also on this site...Next time i think I'll try it as a sauce over noodles.

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2008

Leftover Squash Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2008
Fabulous muffins and super easy to make. I used Butternut squash which I mashed instead of pureeing so there were still little bits of squash here and there in the muffins. The only changes I made to the recipe were to add and extra half cup of squash(because it was there) and to add a little cloves(about 1/4tsp) I also added a simple crumble (brown sugar, oatmeal and butter) to the tops of half of them muffins turned out great with or without the crumble!

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2008
This pizza dough is so easy to make. I made it once following the recipe exactly and then a couple more times adding different spices to the dough everytime. Turned out perfectly each time. I even froze some and it still turned out perfectly. Definately a keeper!

Butternut Squash Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2008
This turned out with a very 'yeasty' flavour probably would have been better with only one package of yeast. Didn't have much of a squash flavour could definately have used some spices of some sort, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg perhaps? the bread did rise perfectly and came out with a lovely texture though.

Delicious! I made Cream Anglaise II also from this site for the sauce instead of the lemon...But the bread pudding turned out perfect I sprinkled with a little extra cinnamon before baking, and added a cinnamon raison bagel to the bread mix for extra texture. Will definately make this again!

Favorite Corn Bread

Reviewed: May 14, 2008
Very Yummy and super easy to make. I made mine in a muffin tray which cut down the cook time and makes portion control a little easier. I also used Margarine instead of shortening and halfed the sugar and added white corn syrup instead to help keep them moist. Very delicious and not too sweet.

Baked Zucchini

I thought these were good and an easy way to use up zuchinni My husband on the other hand gagged a little and said the texture was discusting (crispy outside kind of smooshy in the inside)....so only three stars because they didn't please everyone.
