Turtle Cheesecake

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2013
Flavor was great. It needs to bake longer, otherwise, it ends up being too mushy. I will bake longer next time.

Savory Grilled Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2012
Excellent taste. The only thing that is wrong with this recipe is that you need to double or triple the mixture of ingredients. The more of that, the better the potatoes.

Mushrooms with a Soy Sauce Glaze

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2012
I would make again, but the mushrooms seemed a bit drier than I expected. i expected an actual "glaze". Next time I will double the wet ingredients.

Broiled Lobster Tails

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2012
Super easy and great taste. We placed the lobster tail on the middle rack and broiled for about 20mins. Our lobsters were about 1/2lb each. I had two on the pan.

Savory Vegetable Beef Stew

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2012
Best stew recipe out there. I added the flour to the meat when browning instead of at the end. Everything else I did the same. I have made this twice in two weeks!

Too much macaroni, not enough cheese. As is, the recipe needs work.

Kentucky Blackberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2011
The filling was wonderful! I found the dough/crust to be very thick and almost biscuit like. Next time I will use the filling recipe and find a thin, flaky crust recipe to use.

Salsa II

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
The flavor and texture are great. I added half the amount of recommended jalepenos and did everything else as directed. It was still too hot! My husband and I like spicy food, and neither one of us could eat it. I added two cans of diced tomatoes and it was still too hot. If I had added the entire amount of recommended jalepenos, it would have burned out mouths for sure. Add the jalepenos one by one until you find what works for you.

Guacamole

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2010
This guacamole was not good. I followed the recipe exactly. A whole lime is too much lime juice. And three tablespoons of cilantro is too much. All we could taste was lime juice and cilantro. Yuck. Leave 2/3 of each of those ingredients out, and you will be better off.

Steff's Shepherd Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2010
Made the first time as is and gave it four stars due to lack of seasoning and too much onion. The second time I preapared this dish, I seasoned the groud beef with garlic salt and onion powder, and I added a can of corn. I also used a quarter of a large onion. Half of a small onion would suffice, but half of a large onion is too much. Very good the second time around.

Apple Butter Anniversary Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2010
This was AWESOME. I agree with the others about doubling the filling. I doubled the filling in case I needed extra. I am glad I did, because I used it all. The frosting would not stick to the cake. I decided to keep the frosing in the refrigerator and use it as a topping. I think it worked out better this way, because I don't like putting cakes in the refrigerator. I think refrigerating cakes dries them out. The cake was super moist! I baked it for 50 minutes, and that was almost too long. The edges were a little dark. Overall, it was great. Tasted amazing.

Sugar Cookie Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2009
The flavor was great! I beat the frosting with an electric mixer and the texture still seemed a bit grainy. It did not adhere to the cookies very well either.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
Wow! This was super easy and tasted wonderful! I used ingredients I had on hand. Instead of frozen corn, I used a drained can of corn. I used canned diced tomatoes instead of canned whole tomatoes. I did not have chili powder, so for extra kick, I added half a cup of taco sauce. I followed other recommendations and put the frozen chicken into the crock pot. FABULOUS! I will make this again and again.

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
Very good. The first time I made the dip, I followed the recipe. The second time I added garlic salt to the sour cream/cream cheese layer. It added a bit more flavor.
