Fresh Rhubarb Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2007
Delicious! Because I had it on hand, I used cinnamon raisin bread and eliminated the cinnamon. I also used more bread because the bread slices were thin. It's a great way to use rhubarb!

Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2008
This has become a family favorite! I added 2 crushed garlic cloves to the marinade. I also added chunks of Vidalia onion, as well as green & red peppers to the skewers. This recipe needs close monitoring as it cooks, but it's well worth the effort!

Delicious--we used fresh Maine crab instead of the canned variety.

Key Lime Pie VII

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2009
This was a real hit both times we've served it. I used less of the condensed milk--just 2 cans-- no fat milk and low fat sour cream are fine substitutes. One of our guests had spent time in the Keys and said this was better than the pies he had enjoyed there.

Blackened Tilapia with Secret Hobo Spices

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2009
Very good--I used half of the cayenne pepper, and left out the bread--there were no pan juices. Had rice instead. Served it with the dill sauce from Hudson's baked tilapia. We'll make this again.

Jackie's Special Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2009
This was good, but not great--I didn't have panko, so used plain bread crumbs. That might have made the difference between "good" and "delicious." It was definitely easy!

Hudson's Baked Tilapia with Dill Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2009
The dill sauce is wonderful--haven't tried the baked fish yet--I cooked the Blackened Tilapia With Secret Hobo Spices instead.

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
This was a hit at our Thanksgiving table this year. I did add just a bit of cinnamon because I can't imagine apple pie without it. I loved the way the lattice looked and tasted.

Sweet Potato Casserole II

Yummy--I loved the flavor of the potatoes. We used large marshmallows this time. Next time I will use the small ones--I think they will work better.

Pineapple Ham Loaf

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2010
Delicious! Does need a bit more sauce than called for in the recipe. I used all ham because I didn't have ground pork on hand, and we were in the middle of a snow storm here in Maine!

Pork Normandy

This was great! Good company dish. If you have leftovers of sauce and meat, cube the meat, mix with sauce and serve over noodles.

Baked Haddock

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2010
Delicious. Like many, I baked the fillets on a rack. Added garlic powder and lemon zest. OK with less butter/margarine. I will use this again.

Turkey Potato Supper

This was excellent! I used it to deal with Thanksgiving leftovers. Instead of making the crust with potato flakes, I used real left over mashed potatoes and added only one egg.
