Homemade Fresh Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2011
This was a very good pie. I baked my pumpkin(a sugar/baking pumpkin) then let it cool. I also added slightly more of the cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg than the recipe called for and lowered the sugar slighly. I also added 1/4tp cloves as well. Otherwise it's a keeper.

Italian Bread Bowls

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2007
Very good! Nice and crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Was a little bland in taste for me but otherwise pretty good. I served it with some chicken stew/soup and it went over really well especially on a very cold day. Will definitely make again.

Ants on a Log

What a fun thing to make! I used to make these a lot when I was a kid at home and in girlscouts. Now, I sit down with my fiancees children and they both love to be able to do this on their own. Such a great healthy snack for everyone!

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2007
I don't make homemade bread very often. I usually settle for it in my bread machine but am very glad that I tried this one. It turned out AWESOME! I did follow some of the other reviews and used less sugar than called for. I only used 1/4 cup instead of the 2/3 cup it called for and it really worked out well by giving it not too sweet of a taste and came out very light and "fluffy". Before baking, I also brushed some melted butter on top to help it give a nice golden and buttery crust. I could actually taste the butter too! I will definetly make this again! I did although have to let the dough rise longer than said when it was in the pans. It had to sit for almost 45 minutes before it was ready to go in the oven. All in all this was a good recipe and will definetly make again.

Easy and Delicious Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2007
I have made something very similar to this before and loved it. I did not add the italian dressing or cream cheese though. Instead, I used chicken gravy mix and flour and about 1/4c. chicken broth. This works great for sandwiches or over mashed potatoes. It was a hit and absolutely no leftovers!

Monkey Bread I

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
This recipe is GREAT! I would definitely recommed using a Bundt pan for this so it the liquids don't bubble over the sides of the pan. I omitted the nuts and rasins and just added extra cinnamon and brown sugar to taste. I also made a cinnamon roll type glaze to put over the top of them once they have been removed from the bundt pan and has cooled some. This made it taste even more like bite size pieces of cinnamon rolls. It not only made an excellent dessert but a really good breakfast as well. If you want it warm for the next day, just pop some in the microwave on a plate covered with a paper towel and heat for about 10-15 seconds or until warm. MMMMMM!!!!
