Chai Tea Mix

I make this with the vanilla/sugar option as well as the additional spices. I've made this a couple times -one with less sugar (1cup) and soymilk. It was a disaster. I blame it on the soymilk powder -one with double the spices. Too powerful for my tastes -less sugar (2cups) so far I've liked the one with less sugar. I think it's because the tea I get already has sugar in it (called 3 in 1 milk tea which has tea, sugar, powered milk). For those of you having a hard time finding instant tea, go to an Asian supermarket. They sell it in large bags of individual packets and have many different brands of it. For those of you who don't have that option, I have seen it in the ethnic asile at Superstore. For those of you concerned with the price of certain spices, try bulk. I got all mine from Bulk Barn and the most I paid for was $3 (which was the cardimum) for a spice. I was able to fill to the top of my reuseable spice jars. All in all, I love this and have been very addicted to drinking these ever since I discovered this recipe. I highly reccommend to all.

Tangy Cucumber and Avocado Salad

I'm sitting here eating this salad as I am writing this. I was pleasantly surprised that it is very tasty. Am definitley going to be making this on a regular basis.

Cuban Black Beans II

I made this with canned beans and because of this it was more saucy than it probably should have been. Next time I will follow the other tips of using less water. I also omitted the bell pepper and pimentos (only because I didn't have any) Regardless I thought this was delicious and would definitly make again.

Broccoli Salad I

This was my first time making a broccoli salad and I really enjoyed this recipe. Since I did not measure the amount of broccoli, I eyeballed how much of the other ingrediants I would need. I would definitly make this one again.

Real Hummus

I'm very new to hummus in general and this was my first attempt at making it (previously bought in store). If you have a hard time finding tahini (I did) try an organic market. Thats where I found mine. I added an extra clove of garlic, avacado (had to use some up) and omitted the olive oil (because I plain forgot about it). Turned out great! Would reccommend.
