Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2008
I have never made ribs before and found this recipe and decided to give it a try. I brushed about 8 ounces of bbq sauce on the ribs and wrapped them in foil overnight. After baking them at 225 for 4 hours, I opened the fiol, brushed on more sauce and broiled them for 10 minutes. Clean up was a breeze since I cooked them on a cookie sheet. They turned out absolutely fall off the bone delicious!!! This recipe is fool proof : )

Pauline Werner's Beef Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2007
This was easy and really good. I added beef broth instead of water and cooked on low for about 2 hours. I also added in the vegetables at the same time as the water and just let it cook slow. The meat was really tender. I called it "Pirate Stew" and served it with french bread - my kids gladly ate it up.

Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: May 2, 2007
I don't know what happened, but my ham was moist and tasted good - but was not sweet at all. It was alot of work to be basting it so much, and have it turn out like a regular ham.

Zucchini and Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2007
I cut down the butter and oil in half and did not use bread crumbs on top. I sprinkled Frenchs French Fried Onion Rings on top instead. I also omitted the butter on top. I also added a little more cheddar cheese. I baked it for about 30 minutes. It smelled great and tasted good too.

Pork Chop and Cabbage Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2007
I used cream of mushroom soup because that was all I had. I also added garlic salt. It wasn't pretty - but it tasted good. My family liked it. I covered it for the entire time and the pork chops were nice and moist. Next time I may add some red bell peppers for some color and a little zip.

Crispy Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2007
This was really good and the chicken came out crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. My family really liked it. I didn't drizzle the butter on top - too much added calories that aren't really needed. Other than that I followed the recipe.

Oven Pot Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2007
Absolutely delicious!!! The meat was so tender it pratically melted in my mouth. My husband loved it and ate left overs 2 days in a row!!! Like some of the others, I decreased the temperature and let it cook longer. This has become a family favorite.

Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2007
This was a good soup that really made the house smell wonderful! My kids really didn't eat it, but my husband and I liked it. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because I did feel as if it was missing something...

Lentil and Smoked Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
This is a fast and tasty soup. I didn't have cabbage - which I think would have been really good. Anyway, I added carrots and celery instead. I also used mild Italian sausage. I think it would have been great wity spicy sausage, but my kids would not have eaten it. It's a hearty soup with lots of flavor.
