Easy Ham and Noodles

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2011
This was so good! I didn't expect it to be, but it really was. After reading the other reviews, I added sour cream, 1/4 tsp each of garlic powder, salt and pepper and finely ground onions. I think it was the onions that gave it the extra flavor it needed. Super yummy and easy to make! Definitely make again.

Red Velvet Cake I

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2011
I really wanted to like this, but I just didn't. Threw most of it away. It was dry and the frosting was really runny. I couldn't get it to even stay on the sides of the cake.

Chicken Quesadillas

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2010
Super yummy! I was so excited to make these, then my 2 teenage kids and husband ended up being gone for dinner tonight. I made them anyway for me and my 5-year old. They were fabulous!!! My husband ate leftovers when he got home- he loved them too. Now we'll have great leftovers for tomorrow. I'll definitely make again. I made exactly as the recipe stated, but left out the bacon. Don't need bacon- lots of flavor as is!

Breakfast Loaf

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2010
This was ok- maybe I did something wrong. I used a french bread loaf and it was way too 'bready' for us. Not enough egg/ham/cheese taste. And the bread was too hard and crunchy. My family didn't really enjoy it. If I try again, I would probably use bread dough with ingredients rolled up inside, then bake that way.

Banana Cream Pie III

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2010
Yum!! This recipe seemed so basic, I really didn't expect it to be great. But it was! I actually was running behind schedule, so I called my 14-year old son and walked him through how to make it. So quick and easy. Great texture and flavor. I used one box vanilla and one box banana pudding and a homemade crust. Will definitely make again.

Cheese Ball I

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2010
Very good! I made as written, except rolled into individual balls. Worked our perfect to put the balls into a ring on the outside of a serving plate and fill the middle with Wheat Thins.

Cheesy Sour Cream and Salsa Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2010
For more flavor and better consistency, I have changed this over the years. I now use 16 ounce sour cream and 8 ounces of cream cheese. That will help with the runny consistency. Also, use taco flavored cheese and I add chopped green onions. I always have a lot of flavor in mine. If you want even more kick, use the fiesta flavored ranch dressing. That really spices it up.

French Silk Chocolate Pie I

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2010
This is the firs time I've attempted a French silk pie. It tasted great and my kids loved it, but it is very 'soft'. I had to scoop it out of the pan and it was just runny and sloppy. I don't know what I did wrong. I made 1-1/2 of the recipe, so used 3 eggs. The consistency seemed better after only 2 eggs. I beat 5 minutes per egg as directed. I really want to make it again- any sugggestions? Nobody else seems to have this problem- texture was smooth and silky, just runny. Help!

Broccoli Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2010
This was so good. I loved it with the cream of broccoli soup- really added flavor. I also added a can of mushroom soup and 1/2 cup of sour cream and 2 tsp lemon juice. Per other reviews, I sprinkled the chicken with garlic powder while cooking it. Very good and made great leftovers.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
Wow- this roast had the best flavor of any roast I've ever made. Who knew such a simple recipe could be so fabulous??? I even screwed up and used a bad roast-- it was a rump roast that I cooked on low for 7 hours but it was really really tough. It was like cutting tree bark, but the flavor was still so good. My picky pre-teen boys and my husband were fighting over who got the leftovers for lunch today. That has never happened in my house. Just imagine if I used a better cut of meat. I will try with a pork roast or chuck roast next time. Can't wait to try again. Loved the gravy too!

It was really tasty- a little runnier than I am used to. I need to find a way to thicken it up. The flavor is very good!

Veggie Pizza

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2009
Loved the cream cheese mixture in this recipe. Really tasty. I used different veggies (carrots, green onion, mushrooms and broccoli) but it was the cream cheese mixture that made it super!

Excellent- my kids love it. It takes just like Cracker Jacks. I liked it because it wasn't sticky and messy. Great texture and great flavor.
