Tomato and Basil Pasta Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2012
Flavor was great - although I'd put in even MORE basil, let it simmer, let it SIMMER! And I'd puree it too - always better pureed! Thanks for the delicious recipe - this recipe has convinced me, you can use canned tomatoes...

Easy Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2012
I liked this one, be careful how thick you layer the sour cream or it gets really messy. I actually made it in a little bit smaller of a casserole dish because I like mine piled high and deep and it worked out just fine!

Fast and Easy Hamburger Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
I thought the flavor itself was incredible. A tad runny, but the actual taste made up for it. One thing I would do, use a smaller casserole dish! That way the portions will be larger per biscuit and the biscuits will cover the casserole. We had empty spaces at the end of 9 x 13 pan... Awkward.

Mom's Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2012
Absolutely loved it. Was a little runny but was so delicious I poured the extra sauce onto everything else I was eating. I know I'm going to get fat, whatever it was AWESOME!

Easy Taco Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2012
Personally I thought this tasted fantastic, was priced right and was really easy to make. Unfortunately I didn't have a 2 quart casserole dish so instead of layering I did one big layer in a 3 quart but it was great - I did not crush my tortilla chips, they soften up enough while cooking to cut with a fork anyway. You do not need to brown your meat with anything because the salsa will add your onion and other flavors. I did add a dollop of sour cream to the finished product because the recipe was so affordable anyway I figured why not. I will make this again.

Mouse's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2012
This was delicious! Mine thickened up completely - even using vanilla soy milk (which was all I had in the house :)). The only thing I would do differently next time is to use a larger covered container to bake in - at 400 degrees it boiled over and was all over the inside of my oven! A deeper dish next time, but delicious all the same.

Great meatloaf recipe - I would double or even triple that topping! So good and there just wasn't enough of it to go around...

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2012
My son and I really enjoyed this one - although I must admit if you're not used to eating the beans and chili seasoning - don't be afraid to lighten up, the flavor was great - it's just a lot on your system if you're not used to it... You could probably 1/2 all three of those items and be okay ;) The taste really was great though!

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2012
Terrific! I love this stuff!!! Turned out great, was surprised how good the golden raisins were in the dish, wasn't expecting that. Make sure you cook it for as long as it says, that rice really needs to soften up! Will absolutely make this again.

Bananas Foster II

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2012
It's incredible. What can I say. Make sure you get the dark rum, I bought the little sample bottles. Guy at the liquor store helped me. I was making two small servings, 1 bottle was fine. This was to DIE FOR. Will make again. I had some bananas that were overripe and I wanted to use them, I hate throwing produce out... Delicious!

Adrienne's Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2012
Sweet & sour, tart & tasty - my son loved this as did I - best part is, you really could add just about any fresh veggie and it would soak in the marinade. You could have your kids eating anything... Or just keep it as sophisticated as is :) Keep in mind though this is VINEGAR not a creamy dill sauce... I really enjoyed it.

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
This turned out so good my son ate potatoes for the first time EVER (other than french fries)! Unfortunately I cannot get my re-heats of the left-overs anywhere near as tasty as the fresh out of the crockpot flavor. I will absolutely make this again, worked out perfectly ready to eat after a long work day.

Guacamole

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
Crisp, clean, delicious - EVERYONE loves it, even people who don't eat the squishy green stuff. I think the key may be in the lime, but really why try to figure it out? Just make it, bring it and let everyone enjoy it!!!

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2012
This is very easy to make, and VERY SWEET tasting. If you are expecting a traditional sloppy joe STOP and look for another recipe. This is almost too sweet for my tastes, in fact if I make it again I'm going to take out at least one teaspoon of brown sugar! Even though my son asked for more - which is unheard of - the recipe really didn't need THAT much. We had some raw green beans on the side so hopefully that evened out the sugar intake :)

Busy Day Barbeque Brisket

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2012
I have never had brisket in my life before and this recipe is super easy and comes out EXACTLY as it says it will! If you don't like spicy, be careful, it's a doozy :) Seriously though, I was hesitant because I felt brisket was expensive - and I had never made it before, but it turned out great. This was a perfect starter recipe for a new brisket maker, thanks Shannon I really appreciate you sharing it! I should note that I DID rub the liquid smoke and dry spices in the night before - as suggested, it really was good. Going to eat the left overs tomorrow with a cool cucumber salad, as this was one hot dish!!!

Easy Minute Steaks

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2012
I have never cube steaks before - I must admit for the price, these came out AWESOME! I don't think you need to cook them for a whole hour though... They were borderline dry. Might just be my oven so I'm still rating this a 5 star recipe!

Devil's Steak Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2012
I love spicy/sweet and that is exactly what this sauce brings. It could have been a little thicker, but it's true to the picture so who am I to complain. I will absolutely make this again but will try to thicken it up a bit just so I don't waste any because it was awesome. Even my foodie boyfriend ate it, and that's saying a lot he's picky and moans about everything he didn't come up with...

Orange Cracker Apricot Chicken

Pretty tasty stuff, be careful not to burn the jelly! Will make again - will add jelly late as a type of salsa next time rather than cook with it.

Easy Pork Chop Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2012
This tasted pretty good but I wouldn't exactly call it a casserole because it was so incredibly soupy. If something was added in the mix to thicken it up I would've given it a full 5 stars.
