Peach Cobbler
I used this recipe for the first time last night and it was delicious, although I do agree that it is a bit more dry and cakey than I was expecting. Perhaps the baking dish I used was too deep? I'm going to try it agian using a shallower dish to see if it makes a difference. I followed the recipe exactly. I may use less sugar the second time around and bake for longer at a lower heat.

Alysia's Basic Meat Lasagna
I made this dish for dinner tonight. I have never cooked lasagna before. I'm not the very best cook in the World and I'm only just starting to improve. My fiance LOVED this lasagna and he is a difficult person to please. VERY difficult! He went back for thirds. I gave this recipe 4 stars because 1. it took me almost 2 hours to make(prep time took forever) and 2. i made some improvements. After cooking the meat and adding the sauce, the meat didn't seem to have much flavor even with the garlic and onion so I added some creole seasoning and a chili pepper to spice it up. Then instead of using a whole tub of ricotta, I used half ricotta, half cottage cheese and even added some cream cheese. I was afraid the noodles would be hard but they came out perfect. I did not cook them beforehand. I also added a little bit of breadcrumbs and shredded parmesan on top before baking. I will definitely be making this dish again but hopefully it won't take me as long next time! :)
