About this Cook
I'm a graphic artist/illustrator/web designer. Check me out! I'm online at I love to draw (a lot), i love road trips, going to the beach, and especially shopping for shoes and clothes. I love socks, especially toe socks! I love to cook and bake cupcakes, and I love planning parties. Gimme a theme and you'll get it! =-) I'm still enrolled at DeAnza College in Cupertino, CA working towards an Associates degree in Film/Television Production with an emphasis in Animation. I'm also a new member in the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society chapter at DeAnza. I'm currently attending the Academy of Art University in San Francisco!
My favorite things to cook
I'm crazy about italian food, greek food, asian, authentic mexican, and trying new flavors. I love to bake cupcakes and decorate them really fancy!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Pork and asian mustard greens, chicken and dumplings, midwestern chili, chicken a la king.
My cooking triumphs
I made apple dumplings that everyone just went crazy for! Also, my pumpkin bread was a hit. Both recipes were made from and i added my own touches to it!
My cooking tragedies
Egg white omelet with button mushrooms...I think I put in too much mushrooms and the smell overwhelmed the egg.

Simple Strawberry Sauce
I made this last Christmas (a few times, actually) for strawberry shortcake. It's sooooooo good, and so fresh! I might try it with a teaspoon of corn syrup next time to use as a strawberry topping!

Crab Salad Sandwich
I LOVED this recipe. My husband and I are dieting so this was a perfect snack/meal for me. I wanted to try out a can of crab since I was in a crab mood, so I used the Geisha brand crab meat with leg meat (6 oz can). I normally don't eat a lot of mayonnaise so I only used a tablespoon, which was perfect for me. I also only had Sara Lee's 45 calorie whole wheat bread on hand so I used that. To put it all together, I salted and put cheese in between the crab layer on a plate by itself and microwaved it before placing them onto the toasted bread. It was more delicious than I thought. Thanks for the recipe!

Amazingly Good Eggnog
I've started making this a few years ago for Christmas at my in-laws, and every year since then the eggnog has been a big hit! My husband and I usually never drink eggnog (he's occasionally had the store bought version), but he says he will never drink store bought again. I follow the directions, and it turns out great every time. It has become a yearly tradition. Thanks for such an "amazingly" delicious recipe! :)
