Perfect Lemon Squares

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2010
Great Recipe 5 stars! Will be making this one again! I used pecans instead of almonds. I lightly sprinkled powder sugar while still warm on the top. Make sure they are cool before cutting as per the recipe. Also, left out the coconut flakes! Not a big fan of coconut. Thank you for sharing:)

Sky High Yorkshire Pudding

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
Yorkshire Puddings are wonderful. My grandma was and mother is from England. They always make it up at least 2 hour before putting into oven (to allow mixture to become room temp.) and cover the bowl with a clean tea towel, then set aside. I always add a good pinch of salt. Also, right before pouring into muffin pan whip/beat the mixture again using a slotted large spoon or whisk (whipping bubbles in mixture). This should make them rise better. Thanks for sharing!

Stacey's Hamburger Seasoning

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2010
IT WAS A GREAT CHANGE TO OUR HAMBURGERS. THE ONLY CHANGES I MADE WAS DECREASE SALT TO 1 teaspoon AND INCREASED THE BROWN SUGAR TO 1 3/4 teaspoons. I USED 1 3/4 teaspoons of this seasoning, WHICH I MIXED INTO 1 POUND OF GROUND BEEF; THEN MADE INTO 4 HAMBURGERS. COOKED IN MY GEORGE FOREMAN GRILL. I WILL BE MAKING IT UP AGAIN! THANKS FOR SHARING:)

Classic Cranberry Nut Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
This recipe is very simalar to my zucchini bread recipe. Made as per recipe with fresh chopped cranberries and pecans. Added all of one orange zest (which was a little more than recipe). Squeezed orange into the proper 3/4 cup size and top off with orange juice to have the proper measurement instead of using another orange. Greased with butter and floured loaf pan instead of spraying Pam. This made bread to come out very easy. Family all loved it. Thanks for sharing!

Irish Soda Bread I

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2012
Loved it! Family Loved it! Never had soda bread before. It reminded me of a sweet raisin bread. Great warmed with butter. I cut the recipe in half which made only 1 loaf. Used 1 cup sour cream, only one egg and added 1/2 cup of milk. And made my 1/2 cup sugar heaping. Doubled the raisins. The rest of ingredients just in half. Thanks for sharing!

Berry Crumb Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2010
Good but needed to change a few things: Omitted Cinnamon added 2 teaspoon vanilla; Omitted shortening added butter; Omitted 1 cup white sugar and changed it to 1 cup brown sugar (Keep 1/2 cup of white sugar that will go over berries but needed to increased it slightly if your berries are not real sweet ); and increased salt to 1/2 teaspoon. Cooking time was fine. Can use strawberries or blueberries instead of raspberries too. Thanks for sharing:)

Tater Tot Casserole I

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2012
A hit for my family. Only gave it 4 stars because it is a little to milky. Needed some salt and pepper to taste too. I used turkey sausage the first time and made as per recipe. The second time I decreased Milk to 1/2 cup. The third time I made in 13 x 9 and used 6 eggs and 1 cup milk which came out perfect. Sometimes I add chopped onion and bell pepper instead of sausage so I can serve the sausage or bacon on the side. Our family like to top it with salsa before eating it. Thanks for sharing.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2012
I love the flavor. Made as per recipe. However half way eating it got a little too rich.... Thinking it might be a tab too much cream cheese. Next time I will double it and use only 12 ounce cream cheese and reduce the milk and add sour cream. Will update after I try that combination.... Thanks so much for sharing!

Easy Lasagna I

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2012
I been making this for years...except I don't use ricotta cheese sub it with the cottage cheese (To save money) and omit the mushrooms since most family members hate them. Also, I add a little more sauce about 1 1/2 cans of the four cheese flavored spaghetti sauce and add a little more on the cheeses. I also add extra seasoning to the sauce, And Before mixing the sauce with the cooked meat I pour a little of the on the bottom of my cooking dish....before adding my first layer of uncooked noodles.

Mom's Country Gravy

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2012
Good start for a Basic recipe. I did make it up as per recipe for the first time. Like other reviews it taste better with melted butter instead oil. It is a little too thick for my taste, I use 1/2 cup instead of 3/4 cup of flour to the 4 cups of milk. I also add pinch more pepper and salt. To make it easier... when adding the milk use a whisk instead of just stiring in the milk. Thanks for sharing...

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2011
I have made fudge so many times over the years. I needed to use up 7 oz marshmellow jar I had on hand so I google this one. This recipe is very similar to my recipe except I use reg. marshmellows ect. I think the combine 3 cups of chips is too much. (2 cups) 1 cup milk Chocolate and 1 cup semi-sweet chips is a better tasting. Also, I use a good pinch of salt 1/8 teaspoon instead of 1/4 teaspoon! Thanks for sharing.

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2011
It was Good. Not sure if I like so much flour in it. Next time I will try only 2 Tablespoons of flour. Also, Found it easier to add all ingredients to food Processor/Blender to take out all the little lumps of flour. It made it all smooth and perfect for dipping the bread in. Thanks for sharing. UPDATE: Cut flour to 2 Tablespoons, Alot better.

Mmm-Mmm Better Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2011
This recipe was very good:) At first I thought there wasn't enough batter for 9" pan. However, The brownies rise somewhat. Next time I will use a 8" baking pan as I prefer my brownies thicker. Also, I used Hershey's brand of coca powder and added about 1/2 cup of peanut butter baking chips to the mixture! The taste was wonderful.

Chocolate Scotcheroos

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2011
We have made these for over 35 years. One of my family favorites. Sometimes I use milk chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet! Make a great gift for the chocolate lover! NOTE: IF YOU COOL THEM TOO LONG BEFORE CUTTING...JUST LET THEM SIT ON COUNTER A BIT TO SOFTEN BEFORE TRYING TO CUT.

Classic Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2010
To be fair I made this as per recipe before making changes.... It WAS Way too sweet... Need to cut back sugar and vinegar to 2 Tablespoons for each. Need to add more mayonnaise, add hard boiled eggs chopped and I would also decrease the mustard to 1 Tablespoon. For better flavor Use 3 Green Onions finely chopped OR red onion instead of yellow onion!
