Quick and Easy Chicken Spaghetti

My picky family ate this and it was quick and easy to prepare. I added some personal touches: onion powder, white wine and cayenne pepper. I will make this again.

Slow Cooker Spicy Black-Eyed Peas

This was great. My guests loved it at my New Year's Eve party. I didn't put the ham in, just the bacon and it was fine. I served it over rice.

Cranberry Spinach Salad

This salad was sooo yummy. I used pecan pie glazed pecans rather than plain toasted pecans. I took it to my Bunco group and it was gone in a flash with rave reviews. Thanks for sharing!

Lentil and Smoked Sausage Soup

I thought this was an excellent recipe with changes I made to fit my tastes. I tossed out the veggie sausage and used 2 links Hot Italian Sausage & 2 links Mild Italian Sausage. I also used Tony Chachares cajun seasoning which has cayenne included in it. I had to let it simmer for an hour before the lentils were done. I live in high altitude though. It was spicy, just how I like it. So if you are sensitive to hot food don't use hot sausage and cut back on cayenne. Great for the cold temps we've been having. mmmmm

Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce

This bread pudding is REALLY good. With my cajun heritage and many travels to Louisianna, I've had a chance to taste the best. This ranks among the best I've tasted. Substitute milk for heavy cream or half & half for a richer pudding.
