About this Cook
I am 32 years old and have been married for almost 14 years. I have 4 beautiful children and I am currently a SAHM. Cooking is my passion and my way of letting go of that daily stress is to turn on my Ipod and make a wonderful warm meal for my family.
My favorite things to cook
My family loves Italian food, so I am experimenting in that area lately. My best meals are usually a made up soup that I use leftovers to make. I also love experimenting with Asian foods. I also have a baby boy that I love to make homemade healthy finger foods for.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We have always enjoyed making and decorating Christmas cookies every year, and I make a wonderful ham dinner Christmas Day that everyone loves.
My cooking triumphs
This New Years Eve I made crab and shrimp lasagna rolls with homemade marinara that my entire family loved!!
My cooking tragedies
When I was first married I wanted to make something nice for my husband and so I decided to make baked chicken. My grandmother told me to soak the chicken in salt water to draw out the blood before baking, and well I did and I suppose I used too much salt because I watched my husbands face turn bright red after the first bite. He tried to pretend it was good, but after I took a bite, I laughed until I cried....

Pumpkin Muffins II
I thought these were good but there are too many spices going on. I love cloves, but they are very overpowering in these muffins. My husband said that he wouldn't know they are pumpkin if I hadn't told him. I will make these again but I will cut the cloves completely out and cut the rest of the spices in half.

Squash-Carrot Casserole
I have made this recipe twice in the last two weeks and my family loves it. The only thing I do differently is saute the onions and carrots first so that they aren't too crunchy, and I sprinkle water over the stuffing on top so it is not too crunchy as well. Other than that I stuck to it. You could even use zucchini or any type of squash in place of the yellow, and you could use different soups for something different. Thanks for sharing this recipe, it gave me a good way to use up my garden squash.

California Roll Salad
My whole family thought this was amazing! It tastes just like the real thing! My teen daughter took the leftovers to school for lunch the next day and is requesting that I make it again soon.
