Pesto Cheesy Chicken Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2011
These were really easy and really good. Flavor wise, I would give it a 4-star. However, it being so easy to prepare, it easily earns a 5 star for convenience and oustanding flavor.

Asian Twist Chicken Wings

Pretty flavorful. I would probably add just a touch more soy sauce and honey, but overall very good.

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2011
This had pretty good flavor. I think it would be worth making simply because of how fast and easy it is (it goes faster if you just broil it and keep adding sauce... the sauce sticks better and it cooks faster this way).

Lemon Chicken Piccata

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2011
FANTASTIC! I have actually been looking for this recipe forever! It tastes exactly like a dish here served at our favorite Italian Restaurant. I cooked it as is, but next time, just to make it exactly the same, I would mushrooms. This is really great served with a small side salad and a 3-cheese macaroni (shells). SO glad I found this recipe!

Codfish with Cream

Reviewed: May 25, 2011
Good, and very hardy. This to me seems like one of those traditional dishes that are savored by those who grew up on it, where someone else who hasn't had it their whole lives doesn't appreciate it as much. It tastes almost exactly like my mother's Filipino version of Torta... only without the rice (which I love!!). So I would say I liked this, but I'll just keep making my other dish and probably won't make this again. And I would suggest others to eat it with rice because it adds to the hardiness. However, I did serve it with garlic bread and a salad.

Mom's Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: May 24, 2011
This wasn't bad at all, but nothing special. I keep looking for a really great cucumber recipe, and I still haven't found it. I would eat this if someone else made it because I like cucumbers, but I wouldn't make it.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: May 24, 2011
Very good! This tastes exactly like a pot pie I would get anywhere else. I made the recipe just the way it was stated; I don't really see the point in rating something if you didn't make it that way. I don't think it needs any extra sauce at all, unless you want it to be runny. It will be runny at first anyway but will solidify completely once it cools. I don't think any changes need made at all, but I'm sure using a variety of vegetables would be a nice personal touch. That is the only change I recommend for this, if at all.

Parmesan and Basil Chicken Salad

The taste wasn't that great to me, plus there was not enough chicken. I wouldn't make this again.

Grilled Flat Iron Steak with Blue Cheese-Chive Butter

Reviewed: May 23, 2011
This was fantastic! The steak is very good, but the chive/butter sauce was pretty much the highlight of the meal. I served this with asparagus and red potatoes. The boyfriend practically licked the plate! I will definitely use this recipe again, and the sauce with any steak will be fantastic.

Grilled Salmon Sandwich with Dill Sauce

Reviewed: May 18, 2011
This wasn't bad, but wasn't anything special, either. With all of the recipes available, I don't see myself making this again. Plus, it was very messy, and was actually quite annoying to have it dripping all over my hands and arms. The only time that is okay with me is if the taste is a 5star.

Chicken Breasts in a Date, Caper, and Mascarpone Sauce with Couscous

Reviewed: May 18, 2011
The flavors blended very nicely together. I do have a few tips that I would suggest, however. First, I think there needs to be either more chicken, or less of everything else. I would say double the chicken for this recipe. Also, it begins to get too sweet, and needs some side like a pasta salad of some sort, as suggested in earlier reviews... something salty. Otherwise, it's like eating too many cookies with no milk. Other than that, it's a pretty interesting blend of flavors worth trying. I might make this every now and again, but not often.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2011
I made it as is with top of the line BBQ sauce. I found the Italian sauce to be too strong, and somewhat bland. After at least tasting it the original way, I almost completely changed it by adding a lot of spices and worcestershire sauce, and a touch of soy sauce. This helped a lot. After that, it was definitely good. But it seems like a lot of work for something I can just get out of the BBQ sauce itself. I wouldn't make this again... not that it was bad, but it just didn't stand out from anything I can get from the store.

Juicy Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2011
I liked the sauce, but do agree with the others that it did not "stick" on the chicken. I think this would be better if it were marinated, and even grilled. I think broiling would be fine if it were saturated in the sauce. Other than that, I would make this again.

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2011
This wasn't bad. My boyfriend really liked the spice. I also enjoyed the spice, but I was hoping for a little more flavor with the juice. Next time, I'll probably add some chicken broth and tequila and maybe soak it overnight. Other than that, I think this is a keeper, but needs tweaked. Oh, and we both agreed it was salty, so I would take probably cut the salt in half.

Mango-licious Tilapia

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2011
Not bad, but definitely not worth the cost or time. I love onions, but even this was way too much for me. The blend of flavors was nice, though. I did marinate the fish all day in the sauce instead of just cooking in it... that way it would bring out the flavor more. I probably wouldn't make this again.

Baked Salmon II

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2011
This wasn't bad. It had decent flavor and it was easy; plus, the items are easily found in my spice cabinet. I would make this again if I had all the ingredients, but probably wouldn't go out of my way to make it, as it wasn't spectacular. Still good, though.

Absolutely Amazing Ahi

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2011
MMM!! Wow, just like going to a sushi bar! I do have a few suggestions. First, I would recommend this with rice (add seaweed if you want the full sushi flavor). Secondly, if you're not going to dilute it with something like white sticky rice, I highly suggest using low-sodium soy sauce. I'm Asian and use soy sauce as much as I breathe! But I still found it slightly salty... but still fantastic!!!
