Sour Cream Sugar Cookies II

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2007
I used this easy recipe for my holiday cookies. They were fabulous and I had lots of people ask for the recipe. I didn't just make cut out cookies, I also used this dough to make a rasberry filled cookie. You roll the dough into ropes (1 inch thick, length of your cookie sheet), use your finger to make an indent 1/2 inch apart all down the rope, fill the indent with rasberry jam, bake a little longer (maybe 10-12 min) and then drizzle melted white chocolate over the top and cut the rope into 1 inch pieces. It was by far the favorite treat. I also made frosted snowman cutouts that were delicous with this recipe, I added a touch of nutmeg.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2007
I have used this recipe now about 8 times. It is a winner every single time! I am not a big roll fan, and these are so delicious! I have made them by rolling them up as crecent rolls, but I also like to just divide them into 16 balls of dough and make them as pull-apart rolls. Tonight I am using this dough recipe to make cinnamon rolls - I'm sure they'll be fabulous. This recipe is my favorite to make, it's so easy I have it memorized and can dump the ingredients into the bread machine in 5 minutes and leave to do errands or whatever. It is the best tasting roll I have made, and have ever had! A sure winner.

Carrot Rice

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2010
Very, very good!! I didn't add peanuts, because I forgot them at the store, but it was still so good that now I think "Hmmm, what can I make to go with Carrot Rice?". Very easy too. I did chop the carrots with a food chopper, instead of grating, just my preference.

Churros II

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2009
I had no idea that home-made churros would be so easy! I didn't have a pastry bag or anything, so I decided to just plop some batter into the frying pan - in spoonfuls. They were little nuggets, but fried wonderfully. I used one reviewer's suggestion of putting them in a large plastic bag with the cinnamon/sugar and shake them - it worked perfect. Everyone at my party loved them.

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2009
Very, very easy and VERY Delicious. My husband said it was an awesome cake! It turned out really moist too. I chopped the carrots instead of grated, just because it seemed easier. I also added a touch of Nutmeg, because I love nutmeg. Everything else was right to this recipe.

Fry Bread Tacos II

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
I was able to whip this up while the kids were still at school to "try" it out. I used 1/2 wheat flour 1/2 white flour. They were so yummy!!! I let the kids eat them after school for a snack w/ butter & honey and then we had them for dinner as tacos. Very, very delicious! The wheat made them a little bit heavier, but still very good. I did roll them out very thin, because they seemed to thicken up a lot while frying. Very simple and very good!!

Chewy Oatmeal Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2008
Great recipe!! I like raisins better than chocolate chips, but no one else does in my house :-). Either way was great. But since today I didn't have any raisins, I went for chopped up apples (I used fuji apples) and added a little bit of cinnamon and nutmeg. Delicious!!!
