Fresh Rhubarb Pie

Kind of disappointing. The four cups weren't really enough and I found it very sweet. This is the first time I've made straight rhubarb… next time I'll go back to the strawberry and rhubarb combination.

Coconut Shrimp I

Okay, for once I have some useful advice :) When dredging in the coconut/flour combination, just do it once quickly on each side. I kept turning the shrimp over and over, trying to get more coconut flakes on, but that actually made the batter come off. In general, this was okay, but I don't think I would make again. I used frozen shrimp (defrosted, obviously), so maybe would be better with fresh. I didnt have any horseradish for the sauce, so just mixed marmalade and dijon mustard. Good enough.

Individual Beef Wellingtons

This was great! So much easier than I thought it would be. Used shallots and garlic instead of onion, but other than that, followed recipe. It wasn't cheap to make, but for a special occasion it is totally worth it.

Lamb Meatballs

This was good. I would make it again, but just the meatball part. Used half shallots, half garlic. We ate it as a main course and liked it. The sauce was a bit strange, though -- not making that again.

They were good when piping hot, but the crab taste was too strong for my liking. Next time I will do something fish-less. They weren't terrible, but I wouldn't make again.

Zucchini Brownies

These weren't terrible, but I don't think I would make them again. I followed the recipe exactly, and there just wasn't enough moisture in the batter. The promised liquid seeping from the zucchini never really happened.. and when I took it out of the oven, it was cooked, but still very crumbly on the top. Luckily I had the icing to cover that flaw with, but basically I would not have been able to serve these without frosting them. The frosting was probably the best part! Anyway, the kids ate them and were very surprised to learn of the vegetable content. But the texture wasn't 100%. I will keep looking for the perfect brownie recipe...

Great! I made this last night and the whole family loved it. It was super easy. I had to sub a couple of things (used basmati instead of brown and left out the green pepper), but it was very easy to adapt. Will definitely make again!

Pan-Fried Steak with Marsala Sauce

This was great. I can't say that it made the meat any more tender (since it wasn't a marinade and this isn't the nicest cut), but the sauce was absolutely delicious. I served it with sauteed potato slices and green beans.I will make this again. Strange -- the ingredients are items that I have used many times with less satisfying results. They really came together nicely in this dish.

This was great! Only change I made was to omit the nuts (don't like them). Otherwise, what a fantastic cake. The first time I have ever made carrot cake, which has always seemed so intimidating. Now I plan to use this recipe all the time -- thanks for posting it!
