Greek Pasta Salad with Shrimp, Tomatoes, Zucchini, Peppers, and Feta

Great recipe! Since I'm on a low-carb thing, I omitted the pasta and added some blanched green beans instead (I've found that green and wax beans make a great pasta substitute!). I only had a bag of frozen raw shrimp, so I marinated the shrimp in a little olive oil, lemon, cumin and garlic for about 30 minutes, then grilled them on my electric grill along with the bell pepper, onion and zucchini. The dressing was perfect, and the flavor combination was just yummy. Thanks for sharing this one!

Sweet Potato Gnocchi

This was my first attempt at gnocchi and definitely not worth the effort. I love sweet potatoes, and I'm not sure what I was expecting, but these came out like gummy, tasteless blobs of dough! I ended up throwing away most of sticky stuff after tasting the first samples. Maybe a different recipe with more seasonings to flavor the dough, and working on my size/shape technique would have better results, but I probably won't be making gnocchi again any time soon.

Great recipe! I agree with those who recommended doubling the amount of cardamom...after all, that's what gives this bread its distinctive flavor! We prefer a bit less sweetness and omit the thick glaze. Instead, I mix 6 tablespoons of strong coffee with 6 tablespoons of sugar and brush this mixture on the loaves when they come out of the oven. When making these for Christmas, I'll sometimes brush with the coffee mixture, then sprinkle the loaves with red and green decorators sugar to make them festive. This bread is also great toasted and topped with cream cheese!
