Pumpkin Swirl Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2007
MMMMM! Very moist and wonderful tasting. I live in a higher altitude, so I had to bake an extra 10 minutes. This is one of the best pumpkin breads I have had.

Gourmet Pretzel Rods

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
Wow, these are terrific! My 14 year old son helped with these because he LOVES them! Very easy. We, too, decided to melt semi-sweet chocolate and dip after the caramel was firm.

Frog Eye Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
This makes a huge salad. Waited to add Marshmellows, coconut, and whipped cream until a couple hours before serving. DO NOT wait any longer. This salad does not taste its best until it has sat for a couple hours with all ingredients in it. We tasted right after adding the last 3 ingredients and I was worried - it was not good at all. Took it to a party that night anyway and got RAVE reviews over it. I increased the mini-mellows to 2 cups, but should probably have 3 cups. 1 cup is way too sparce for this recipe. If I am only going to serve to family, I will 1/2 the recipe next time. Yum, Yum, Yum!

Pumpkin Cheesecake I

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
Oh yeah, this is awesome! Took it to a party last night and everyone asked to have a plate of left-overs. It is quite light as far as a dessert, so it doesn't leave you feeling heavy. The Cheesecake layer is to die for and mixes with the pumpkin layer nicely.

Out of this World Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
Oh my gosh! This is so yummy. It does change the taste of turkey, so if you are serving to people that like the 'turkey' flavor, this recipe is not for you. But if you want some of the best tasting, most tender meat ever, this is for you! I placed turkey(13 pounds) and brine ingredients in a large heavy duty turkey bag; then placed it in a 5 gallon bucket and then placed ice all around it and on top. We live in Colorado, so left bucket in the garage and replaced ice whenever it needed it. This was the best tasting turkey we have ever had.

Spanish Rice Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
Wow, this was great! Used wild rice instead of white. Added 1/4 cup more water because of the wild rice. Also added one small can of tomatoes w/chiles for flavor. Was quite easy to make and had fantastic taste!

Baked Round Steak in Barbeque Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
Yum, Yum! Followed others advice and dbled the sauce ingredients except the vinegar. Also used regular mustard, not dry. Also added a quarter of an onion with the garlic. Meat was a bit tough (not bad), but I believe that was because of the steak I bought not because of the recipe. The sauce had a fantastic flavor to it. Will make again!

Four Cheese Macaroni

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
This was a HUGE hit with my family. Served it for Christmas dinner. Dbled the shredded cheeses only and also used 2 cups of half n half. Did not add the eggs just because I have never made Mac n Cheese with eggs. Was very creamy and tasty. The leftovers were just as good. Heated them with a little milk and butter.

These were very good. Served them at a brunch on Christmas Eve day. Did not have wheat germ - subbed ground flax seed. Worked beautifully. Will make again.

Tasty Baked Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
I only had 1 pound of hamburger, so I cut everything by thirds. Very moist and tasty meatballs. So many times meatballs are dry and these were not. YUM!

Brownies with Peanut Butter Fudge Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
Oh my gosh are these awesome! I ended up making a 2nd batch because the 1st one was gone quite quickly. I did cut the frosting by about a third on my 2nd batch because it was a bit much on the 1st batch. Very good though, just a little too much.

Foolproof Rib Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2010
So this roast has very good taste. It is also very easy. I did use some minced garlic on it. Also, I skipped the salt and used Mrs. Dash's Garlic and Onion and Herb seasoning. I do have to say that I had a 6 lb roast and 4 hours was not long enough. It was rare in the middle, medium rare on the outside. I wish the instructions would have had a little better cooking times for different sized roasts. We cut our and then put 6 pieces at a time back into the oven in a glass dish for about 15 minutes. Kinda messed up my Easter dinner, though. Will make again, but will adjust cooking times.
