Homemade Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
Very creamy and yummy. If you think your sauce is too runny before pouring it over the macaroni, it's not. I was very nervous that my sauce was not thick enough, but once I poured it over the macaroni and baked it, the dish turned out wonderful!

BBQ Glazed Homemade Meatballs

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2007
I actually cooked these in the slow cooker on low for about 6 hours. I added an entire bottle of bbq sauce also. They were very good and easy to make.

Beef Tenderloin with Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2008
Okay, I purchased a 3.75 lb. tenderloin and to get the center to a medium doneness, it took over 3 hrs. I ended up serving the ends which were medium at a 2 hrs. Not sure why this took more than twice as long to cook. I wanted to rate this lower than a five because of the cooking time, but if I am rating the flavor this was beyond a five! Wow, the beef melted in your mouth. The potatoes were also very flavorful and moist. I cannot afford tenderloin very often, but this will be the recipe I use over and over - I will just plan on starting it earlier for the cook time.

Turkey Tetrazzini II

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
This was very good. I only baked for 40 minutes and that was plenty. Also, I added a thin layer of bread crumbs on top. My family all rated this a 5 star!!

Cottage Cheese Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2007
Very, very good. I chose to use ground turkey breast (that's what I had) and I also added a teaspoon of basil and parsely. It was very moist and my entire family loved it, including my cottage cheese hating husband! FYI - I baked in a meat loaf pan and it took 60 minutes to bake.

The Best Barbequed Chicken Ever

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2007
This is one of the best grilled chicken recipes I have ever tasted. I marinated boneless/skinless breasts for 6 hours. The taste was outstanding and the chicken stayed very moist. Make sure you grill on low/medium heat. Around 25 minutes total.

Easy Weeknight Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2012
Oh wow, this was delicious. I did make a few changes to this. First, I used thin chicken breasts, then dipped them in an egg/milk mixture before covering them with bread crumbs. Used a 9 X 13 pan that fit 6 thin breasts in. Poured 1/4 cup melted butter over chicken, then added sauce (added 2 teaspoons of minced garlic to sauce) and cheese. Baked at 350 for 25 minutes. The chicken and sauce had the best flavor! Family devoured it!

Anna's Amazing Easy Pleasy Meatballs over Buttered Noodles

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2007
Yes, this was very easy. A little salty, blame the canned soup for that. There was no way the sauce would cover 6 pounds of meatballs. I had 2 pounds and it worked quite nicely.

Creamy Chicken on Linguine

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2010
This was heavenly. Not sure what some of the reviewers are talking about when they say this dish lacks flavor. It was extremely good. The only things I did different was I cooked onion with the garlic and chicken, omit the milk and use 2 cups of heavy cream, and once I added cream, I simmered it for about 7 or 8 minutes to thicken and then added parmesan and simmered it for another 3 or 4 minutes. Added noodles and chicken and ate a creamy/flavorful dinner.

Cookie-Crusted Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2010
Each year at this time I normally make the Southern Peach Cobbler off this site. I love to make different recipes, so I thought I would try this one. The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because I altered the oil and the sugar in it. The taste is for sure 5 star worthy!! Anyway, I cut the oil to 3/4 cup and the white sugar to 1 1/3 cups.

Chili con Queso with Chicken (Similar to Carlos O'Kelly's)

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
This was very good. I did change it a little though. Used 1/2 cup of chopped onion. Sorry, a tablespoon just isn't worth it and you won't get any flavor out of it. I also used an entire small can of chopped chilies. I took this to book club and it was the first dish completely gone! Served it with the scoop Fritos. YUM!

Cheese Tortellini with Prego® Roasted Garlic and Herb Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
Wow, this was very very good. Quite easy to make also. The only thing I will do different next time is chop my garlic after I sautee it. My family loves garlic, but not so much in large pieces.

This was very yummy and so easy. I followed another reviewer's advice and covered the biscuits for 10 minutes with foil and then baked another 10 after removing the foil.

Jenny's Lime Glazed Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2007
This was a wonderful change from Lemon Chicken. Not sure what some of the other reviewers did, but this was not only simple, but very yummy! A couple things I did different: Along with the juice from the 2 limes, I added about a 1/4 cup of concentrated lime juice. I also blended the mayo and the parmesan with a hand mixer for about 1 minute on low. TIDBIT: 12 tablespoons parmesan is equal to 1 CUP.

Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2012
Oh this is so yummy. I divided mine into two 8 inch square pans for 2 parties I had to attend in one weekend. My grandma made this when I was little and I loved it, but she made it using Raspberries and Raspberry jello. YUM! To mix it up sometimes she used a can of crushed pineapple ALSO. So, I decided to make this using raspberries and crushed pineapple. Well, I ran out at both parties and people were asking for more! You need to chill the cream cheese layer for about 40 minutes. Also chill the jello before adding fruit for about 40 minutes, then add friut, then pour over chilled cream cheese layer.

Slow Cooker Apple Crisp

Reviewed: May 1, 2010
Wow, loved this. Served it to 7 ladies for a book club and they gobbled it up. Ice Cream is the best match for this! I used 12 Granny Smith apples. Cooked for 1 hour on high, 2 hours on low. Covered top of crisp with oats, maybe 1/4 inch deep, then turned the lid on my crockpot and cooked for 1.5 hours. The top was perfectly crispy!

Appetizer Cheese Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2010
Oh my gosh, is this yummy! I doubled the recipe for a potluck for a women's bowling league that I belong to. Women all night long were asking me to write down the recipe, which is so easy, that I did. Pretty much the dish was licked clean. I didn't even have a spoon-ful to share with my family!
