Farfalle and Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2014
Oh this was perfect! Very simple to put together and bakes in 30 min. I used 2cans of tuna in water, fresh/chopped tomatoes, and a four cheese Alfredo. You could spice this in several different ways. Will make again.

Brian's Garlicky Prime Rib

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2013
Excellent tasting! I marinated in the fridge for 1 hour and then 2 more hours to bring it to room temp. I also used a light beer (that's all we had). This was not difficult to make, but the cook time needed much longer for my 6 lb. roast. Cooked for an hour covered, then uncovered and cooked for 1.5 hours. Then let it rest for 1/2 hour. Next time I will leave it in the oven for another 30 to 45 minutes. This was, by far, the best tasting prime rib I have ever made! The entire house smelled awesome too. Will make again next Christmas.

No Roll Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2013
This cookie is awesome! Yes, the cream of tartar makes them somewhat a shortbread cookie, but there are a lot of 4 and 5 star sugar cookie recipes on here that don't call for it. This was one of the easiest cookie recipes I've made. We did not flatten them with a glass covered in sugar only because we decided to frost them using the sugar cookie frosting recipe from here too. Anyway, easy to make and tastes wonderful! Will make again.

Grilled Hawaiian Chicken and Pineapple Sandwiches

Reviewed: May 4, 2013
YUMMY! I used the thinner chicken breasts that Schwann's sells for these. Thick chicken breasts on any sandwich is just not for my family. Anyway, these were super easy and very very good. My family doesn't like Thousand Island, but used mayo, mustard, bbq, or a combo all of. I would suggest marinating for at least 6 hours.

Sassy Tailgate Sandwiches

Reviewed: May 4, 2013
I have had these several times just without the cream cheese. I did make a couple changes to the recipe. Left out the honey mustard and added 2 tablespoons of sugar to the sauce. Used Swiss cheese because that is all I had. I didn't have the cream cheese the recipe called for so just whipped block cream cheese with onion and herb seasoning. Baked at 375 for 15 minutes on 2nd to the bottom rack. Didn't cover either. We like crisp tops.

Baked Hawaiian Sandwiches

Reviewed: May 4, 2013
My family loves this recipe. This time, tho, I added onion/herb cream cheese for the final layer on the sandwiches - yum!

Heather's Grilled Salmon

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2013
Yummy! Since I'm a novice with Salmon, I baked this. Lined an 8 X 8 glass pan with foil, poured 1/2 the marinade over the salmon and baked for 16 to 18 minutes. Oven was set for 400. I also added 2 tablespoons of lemon to this.

Italian Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2013
Excellent flavor and just easy to do. I keep the 4 ingredients on hand at all times, so I can always throw chicken in to marinade at any time.

Zippy-Zoo Marinade

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2013
Very good flavor, but the recipe isn't written as a marinade. I had 5 thin chicken breasts and I doubled the recipe. It barely covered them. So you must either double or triple the recipe. This marinade is very sweet.

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2012
Wow, this is very very good. I did add 1/4 tsp of nutmeg and 1 tbsp brown sugar. This does not make 12 slices of thick french toast. Only made 8 for me.

Easy Weeknight Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2012
Oh wow, this was delicious. I did make a few changes to this. First, I used thin chicken breasts, then dipped them in an egg/milk mixture before covering them with bread crumbs. Used a 9 X 13 pan that fit 6 thin breasts in. Poured 1/4 cup melted butter over chicken, then added sauce (added 2 teaspoons of minced garlic to sauce) and cheese. Baked at 350 for 25 minutes. The chicken and sauce had the best flavor! Family devoured it!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2012
Well this recipe had a few mixed reviews so I was concerned, but I did not have any heavy cream on hand and did not want to go to the store. I followed the directions exactly except only added 1 2/3 cup milk and added another 1/2 cup of shredded cheese (mix of asiago, parm, romano, and provolone). This sauce was wonderful! Did not have a heavy cream cheese taste at all. Tasted like alfredo sauce.

Salsa Chicken Rice Casserole

This is a keeper. Wow, delicious! Used a rotisserie chicken instead of boiling chicken breast. Made over the weekend at a cabin with girlfriends. Everyone wants the recipe.

Easy and Delicious Chicken and Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2012
Wanted to increase the nutrition on this, so I used a long/short grain brown rice mix. Also added 1 chicken stock cube in water. Cut 3 chicken breasts into 12 pieces. Used a crock pot for 7 hours on low. Added peas the last hour of cooking. Very, very yummy!

Apple Oatmeal Crisp

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2012
This is very sweet with both layers of the butter/brown sugar mixture. It is quite good, but I found it a little too sweet. That would be my only reason for not giving it 5 stars.

Chicken Chimi in the Oven

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2012
Oh my is this recipe a keeper. I see why many of you make these over and over. I did not puree the salsa, onion, and garlic mix. I also did not add any water, I didn't want it runny. After I added the seasonings and chicken, I added the refried beans to the mix. It made the mixture VERY easy to handle as I loaded my tortillas. I only had 9 tortillas and this recipe would have easily made 12. I also added shredded cheese to the tortillas first, then added my filling.

Kelli's Fried Green Zucchini

Oh very good. I did use a little flour in a bag to coat them before putting them in egg. Added 1 tsp of Mrs Dash onion/herb and garlic/herb seasonings. Family loved these, ate 'em all!
