Beets

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2006
This was really good. It wasn't something that you could eat the whole thing, but it was a really interesting side dish to the ham. Relatively easy to make. I thought maybe it didn't present itself as well as I would have hoped - it turned out looking like a bunch of stewed beets (guess that's what it is, ut I was hoping for maybe more color).

Jacksonville Carrots

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2006
This dish was really good. I read through the other reviews so cut back on the sugar and used molasses instead of brown sugar. I didn't have a problem with it being too sweet at all. Not so sure I'd use the garlic next time; there were enough flavors going on without it. It was an excellent accompaniment to the ham. Really easy to make, it presented really well with the different colors and a favorite on the table.

Sweet Potato Oranges

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2006
This recipe was sawesome. Probably the best sweet potato dish I've ever put ont he table. Everybody raved. The only problem, and it might prohibit me from making them again, was the hulling of the oranges. It was messy and took a long time. Perhaps there's any easier way and I just don't know it. Regardless, this dish was superb!
