Mexican Corn

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2009
In theory this recipe is great. one thing to consider is that Jalenpenos vary so much in heat.Generally speaking if you were to add the amount of peppers called for, it would render the dish inedible. I added couple chopped peppers and it was perfect. The recipe calls for too much cream cheese. I added enough to just give the corn some body and it was fantastic.

Nacho Cheese Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
good recipe.I was a little apprehensive because of some its reviews, but it came out nice and creamy. I used a mild Cheddar which turned out fine. I added a bit of Mexican seasoning and that seamed to do the trick.

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2008
I have done a lot of slow cooking and I would have never thought of using a dry onion soup mix. Don't use the onion mix. It leaves a nasty Lipton soup aftertaste in the broth and I would wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Slow_cooking is great because it is usually fail proof , but not using this recipe

Chile Verde II

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2008
This recipe was good, but it needed attention. The recipe needed about a third of the Cilantro called for and I really like Cilantro. As another reviewer mentioned, I used way less chicken broth (just enough to cover the pork). Also, I would suggest not pureeing the cilantro with the tomatillos and just give them a good chop.I pureed them as the recipe say to and the result was less than pleasing

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2008
Wonderful and rich. I thought this was a pretty easy recipe to follow. I t can get a little messy when you pound-out the chicken breasts, but the end product is really beautiful and delicious!

My Mom's Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2008
I thought this a great recipe.I would recommend only using boneless chicken breasts. I cut whole chicken into pieces and that thought that the dark meat on the legs and wings just didn't mesh well with the flavors, where as the the breasts were fantastic.

Really Easy Chowder

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2008
I thought that this recipe was seroisly missing something. I followed many of the reviewer's suggestions and it still came out just mediocre. Maybe it would help if the broth had some heat to it.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2008
phenomenal recipe!! A word of advice to everyone: don't make the mistake of using colored toothpicks because they leave a little color in every spot where they touch the chicken. Aside from my minor glitch it was a wonderful recipe to the T !

Lamb Feta Peppers

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2008
great recipe with lots of Mediterranean flavors. The changes I made were adding more allspice and dill along with extra Feta. I also found that the stuffing needed a little extra salt than called for, but that depends on your taste. Cheers

Green Tomato Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2008
excellent!! The only thing that I added was a carrot cake frosting that I found in another recipe on this site. I made fried green tomatoes for dinner and served this this cake for dessert which really was something to remember. The cake still featured the tomato flavor while being a wonderful dessert

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2008
Great recipe. I think it's a little incomplete as far as flavor goes so this it what I did: I poured a 1/2 cup of decent leftover champagne and a 1/2 cup of chicken broth in the slow cooker. I stuffed the chicken with onion, unpeeled garlic and fresh sage. I sliced red potatoes and put them on the bottom of the cooker like another reviewer suggested. after the chicken was cooked i pulled the stuffing out of the cavity and squeezed it on to slice bread... oh man, was it good. also I thought this recipe needed quite a bit of salt and pepper.

Black Bean Hummus

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2006
I thought this was a good recipe but it needed some things like more lemon juice,a little plain yogurt, mor cumin and a bit more spice for my taste. The yogurt help cover up the bitterness that black beans can have.good recipe
