Pear Bread I
I had some pears that were going bad and needed to do something with them quick...I came across this recipe, and gave it a try. It was delicious. My two-year-old called it "cake bread", which is a huge compliment coming from him (cake is his reference for anything sweet and good). My only deviations from the original recipe--I didn't have pecans, so those were omitted, and I added a jar of baby food pears (4 oz) because I was afraid my pears wouldn't measure up to the amount required. Well worth trying!!!

Fruity Curry Chicken Salad
Searching for a unique chicken salad recipe, I tried this one...it was really good. Certainly better the day after preparing it. I think next time, I'll add a few more grapes to make it a bit fruiter.

Tangy Pear and Blue Cheese Salad
From Lara Mashburn: After making this so many times, I agree, too much dressing. I use half the dressing, and rather than tossing it to coat the salad, I let my family drizzle it over the salad. That way, you can save the salad for leftovers (even though the pears get a bit soggy) the next day.
