Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
Made this and just did not like it. Flavor more resembled an eggy cinnamon toast crunch rather than bread pudding. Not sure whats missing but something surely is.

Strawberry Cream Pie

You must change the serving size to 6! That's the only way this works and then its marvelous! I mean so good. I added coconut to crust, it was perfect!

Brown Sugar Cookies I

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2008
I am constantly looking for dessert recipes with less than copious amounts of sugar and I'm thrilled to say this is a great one. I even substituted 25% of the flour with ground flax meal to add some omega-3s and it was awesome. My husband is crazy about these too. I despise our American sugar obsession and can appreciate the subtle sweetness these cookies offer.

Baking Powder Biscuits

Very, very delicate. Skip the sugar, the sweetness is a little sickening. Overall, very kfc-esque, if you like that sort of thing...bake 'em.

Surprise Cake

I made this with Vindiloo spice (a popular Indian spice) in place of cayanne. I used quite a bit (maybe 1 1/2 tsp) its very spicy but nice. I plan on using chocolate ganache to top.

Old-Fashioned Honey Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2006
I really love this pie! The honey flavor isn't too strong and the calorie content in significantly lessened. My main warning is not to follow the directions too closely, adding eggs to boiling hot honey will cook your eggs, egg drop soup style. Let the honey cool a bit first. This pie comes out darker than its corn syrup cousin. Overall, if you like honey's taste, don't be afraid, this is a great pie.
