Chocolate Fudge Pound Cake

I love this recipe! Made as is...the cake is moist, rich and delicious. The same can be said for the many variations that can be made, by simply varying the type of frosting, cake mix and/or liquid. (Spice cake mix, caramel frosting and water/butterscotch schnapps was fantastic.) Bea, thank you for my new favorite, fast cake recipe!

Autumn Apple Salad II

I love this recipe . . .it is simple, simple, simple and, for that reason, good for Thanksgiving. For a "little something extra" -- add honey and fresh lemon juice to taste. Zips it right up and transforms simple yogurt into a "dressing". Toasting the nuts adds an additional dimension as well.

Salsa Chicken

My lovely friend Elizabeth made this for a mid-week dinner for friends. (Hi Elizabeth!) What a tasty, juicy and healthy dish!. With a Mexi-Cali themed tossed salad and fresh tortillas it made an impressive company meal (especially for a weeknight) It is now in my recipe box and ready for when I have to quickly bring together a wonderful meal. Pork Chops with Italian Sausage

TASTY! Sunday night is pasta night in our house and this recipe will become part of the rotation. After reading the reviews, I made only three small tweaks. 1) Sauteed a 1/2 pint of cherry tomatoes with the sausage/mushroom mixture 2) Used spaghetti sauce in place of tomato sauce/wine. (I needed sauce for the pasta) and finally . . . 3) saved some clean-up by using an oven-proof pan to brown, saute and bake all in the same pan (captured all the great pan juices that way as well). These are fast, easy and a bake-sale hit! (Thanks & YUM!) Timesaving Tip: Skip the extra step (and clean-up) of melting the chocolate chips. . .just spread an even layer of chips directly on the crust.

Deli Style Brisket

This recipe is great basic. The trick is a tender and flavorful end-product is to use a piece of meat that has nice marbling and decent layer of fat. Slow cookers do no justice to "top-quality" cuts with little or no fat...they just leave them tough and dry. Great for rainboots, bad for brisket! :-)

Fabulous and simply - Trish, I have used your recipe at least 20 times and it is always a BIG hit. I add dried cranberries right after taking it out of the oven; the tart/softness is a great contrast to the crunchy/crispness. (Great road trip food) Thank You, Thank You!
