About this Cook
I'm happily married to a wonderful man, have a sweet 2 year old boy and a brand new baby girl. We have a Boston Terrier named Quincy. Growing up seeing my mom collecting recipies and watching Julia Child on tv, I never thought I'd grow up loving to cook and bake. But I do! I find it to be relaxing and fun. Unfortunately my husband is a bit on the picky side when it comes to food, but I'm working on him! :)
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook and bake comfort foods. I am a slave to recipies, and am not confident enough in my own abilities to sway from a recipe.
My cooking triumphs
I baked a New York Cheesecake recipe, and someone said it was the best cheesecake they've ever had.
My cooking tragedies
No real tragedies. Knocking on wood. Any problems I've had with cooking usually is a result of me being careless and not properly reading the recipe. Ooops! :)

Slow Cooker Ham
Made this with a 9 1/2 pound spiral ham for Christmas. 4 hours on low. It was delicious. Everyone commented on how moist it was. Thank you for the recipe!

Winter Fruit Salad with Lemon Poppyseed Dressing
I've made this the past 3 Christmases to go with our ham dinner. Can't believe I've not reviewed this! Everyone raves about it. Even some picky family members have been convinced to try it and end up loving it--especially the dressing which is amazing. I follow the recipe to a "T", with the exception of using slivered almonds instead of the cashews.

Chicken Noodle Soup
I make this often to bring to moms in my playgroup who have had babies, and for my family. I use rotisserie chicken. Instead of the water and bouillon, I use 2 cartons of chicken broth and 1 of chicken stock. If I have them on hand, I sometimes add peas. Other than that, I follow the recipe to a tee and its always good, always easy.
