Soft Onion Sandwich Rolls

Reviewed: May 12, 2007
these are a little too bready for us as sandwich rolls, but they're still good. i use the recipe to make a loaf in my oven--FANTASTIC! its perfect for sandwich bread! i've been searching for a recipe like this forever! used my bread machine to make the dough and then punched down, loosely rolled up jelly-roll style and let rise about 45 min in a loaf pan. when making rolls, i scaled the recipe up to 12 buns and thats as much as my bread machine will hold as it rises.

Calzone

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2007
i made this last night and my husband LOVED it! he said it tasted like our pizza parlor's calzones back home. we stuffed it with mozz, pepperoni and ham. i also added some chopped garlic to the dough, which i made in our bread machine. some friends stopped by while we were having dinner and they ate the rest and loved it as well. we'll definately use this recipe often!

Cinnamon Rolls II

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2007
These are wonderful! I can't tell you how many times I've used this recipe and they always turn out great. I make these for breakfast everytime we have guests stay overnight, my way of spoiling them and they love it! I took some to my husband's Coast Guard station today and they were gone by the time I left!

My Favorite Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: May 27, 2007
just made these for memorial day. had to add a tad more liquid but they turned out great, easy to roll and cut. they're a bit bland, but icing makes up for it. i love that its chewy, not too crunchy. UPDATE: cookies were gone very quickly, everyone loved them! i think they're better the next day if you like a softer, chewier cookie.

Focaccia Bread

Reviewed: May 6, 2007
this is wonderful! very easy, nice and chewy, great flavor. i used fresh thyme and basil from our garden (ya cant beat fresh!) and made the dough in our bread machine! reminds me of pizza hut breadsticks *in a way*. this will be regularly made at our house! (makes great breadcrumbs too!)

French Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2007
I just made the full recipe in our bread machine and it turned out well, although I would like the crust to be a bit more tough and chewy, but it is a nice bread, very soft on the inside. I brushed them with a yolk and water mixture and sprayed the oven with water several times. Will make again though I may add a bit more salt and sugar, my husband loved it.

Lemon Cream Cupcakes

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2007
These are wonderful! Very moist and devine! I didnt have sour cream so I used light vanilla yogurt and had no lemon zest or juice so i added lemon extract to the batter and icing. I didnt follow the icing recipe exactly but used it as a reference, also added 1 drop yellow food coloring. Sprinkled poppy seeds on top of icing. I'm addicted to these!

Chocolate Frosting I

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2008
the original recipe was too sweet, too much confectioner's sugar. like others, i suggest decreasing the sugar and adding more cocoa powder. other than that, its an ok frosting. very smooth and doesnt crack. the taste is just off to me though.
