Dijon and Dill Grilled Salmon

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
Such great flavor! You can also do this on a cedar plank with the exact same ingredients. Soak the cedar plank for about an hour in water before putting it on the grill. Delicious!

Fancy Hamburgers

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2008
Not too fancy that is for sure! It was a mess. Fell apart, burned, way to sweet. Sounded good on paper but was really a disaster!

Bacon Wrapped Dates Stuffed with Blue Cheese

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2007
You must use a broiler pan to let the grease run off otherwise you have a real mess. I added slivered almonds to the blue cheese and coated the bacon with a layer of brown sugar prior to cooking. The brown sugar cuts down the salty flavor of the bacon. Guests had lots of "mmmm's" while chewing them up! Good cocktail party munchie.

Cheese Blintzes

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2007
FANTASTIC! I made them for a baby shower I was throwing. I used a "butter top" bread and rolled out each peice with a rolling pin SUPER flat. I didn't cut them down to 1" either but left them whole. I did have to cook them longer then advised (about 20 minutes at 350) Let them rest for about 10 minutes and sprinkle them with powdered sugar and serve with strawberry preserves for dipping or mix the strawberries with the sour cream if you like. They were all gone! Wish I would have made more.

Kosher Salt Encrusted Prime Rib Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2007
Try this...moisten the salt ( I used rock salt ) with some Cabernet then "stick" it to the roast. Pile it on THICK! Don't be afraid. This recipe was 5 star restaurant quality. Very simple and juicy.

Hot Fudge Ice Cream Bar Dessert

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2007
Well I'll be darned! Who knew that this would be so delightful! The "hot fudge" sauce was thick and rich. I used chunky peanut butter for more texture. Rather than using a 9x13 baking dish I used 2 loaf pans then sliced the dessert width wise and presented it on it's side so you could see all the layers. Slice a strawberry and "fan" it out then dust with a little powdered sugar for presentation. It was beautiful and YUMMY! Sure to impress!

Roasted Rack of Lamb

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2006
My oh my was this good! My guests were licking the bones! Remember when searing..DON'T TOUCH IT or MOVE IT AROUND. Everything will be much juicier! The old cast iron pan is the best to sear in and then throw in the oven. This recipe was fabulous!
