Best Spanish Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2014
Wow. I have never made home made Spanish rice before and can't believe how simple it was. Served this with the slower cooker Carnita recipe from this site and we loved it. Will definitely use this from now on instead of the box stuff.

Best Ever Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2014
YUMMY This is the best, moistest banana bread I have ever tasted. I followed the recipe exactly and used 3 whole really ripe mashed bananas. I made 2 loaves at first then my family gobbled them up and asked me to make more. This will now be my recipe to go to. Thanks for the post.

Loved these waffles. So light and fluffy. I doubled the recipe and added 1/2 cup of sugar to make them a little sweet for my family cause they just eat them with fruit. Very good.

Simple Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2012
These are the absolute best deviled eggs EVER. I am not usually a fan of deviled eggs but these are out of this world. I didn't change a thing, made 48 for Thanksgiving for 22 people and they got gobbled up. This is definately my recipe now for deviled eggs. Wish I had some eggs now, I'd make some more. YUM!!!!

This is absolutely delicious and easy. I have no idea what the herbes de Provence is so of course I just do without it. I throw in the grape tomoatoes at the end as another person suggested. This is definately a keeper for my family.

Banana Frittata

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2012
WOW. Absolutely delicious. Being married to a Pacific Islander and having a son who is half islander I try to find creative ways to use bananas, which they love. I was thinking of making banana pancakes but all the recipes on this site suggest you add vanilla, which I didn't have any of. So I found this recipe and so glad I did. I doubled the recipe but I used a total of 6 tbsp. sugar and added 1 tsp. cinnamon to make the batter even sweeter and when they were done cooking I sprinkled them with more sugar. This recipe is definately a keeper for me. I myself don't really care for bananas, but even I enjoyed these.

Michelle's Peanut Butter Marbled Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2009
Oh my goodness. These are absolutely the best brownies ever. I wasn't sure because of the cream cheese but these were fantastic. I only cooked mine for 30 minutes so they will still be alittle bit moist in the middle. This recipe is definately a keeper for my family. Thanks for the great recipe.

Coconut (Haupia) and Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
If I could give this more than 5 stars I definately would. I was looking for a great chocolate pie then I came across this and made it being that I love coconut too. The only thing I did different was to toast some coconut for the top along with some hershey bar shavings on top also. The filling did turn out to be enough for two pies which I gave one to my neighbor. I wish I wouldn't of. If I would of known how good this was I would of ate them both. This is now my favorite recipe.

Robbi's M&M Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
I made these for christmas to give out in candy baskets. I had never made M&M cookies before. These were so wonderful. I had to keep subtracting from each persons basket because I couldn't quit eating them. These are so simple and so moist and tasty. I baked mine until they were still kind of soft them let them harden on the cooling rack. They never got hard, just a little firmer but were perfect. Thanks for the great recipe.

Sweeper Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2008
This recipe is wonderful. I too made a few subsitutions. First I used a 3lb. pork roast chopped into bite size pieces. I fried that in 1/2 cup oil. While the meat was frying I chopped 1 cup onion and 1 cup green pepper. After the meat was browned I removed them from the oil and sauted my onion and green pepper. Drain the oil off and add 3 cans cream of mushroom soup 1 package onion soup mix 1 4oz can drained mushrooms. I also added 3 Tablespoons of the sesame oil. It was kinda clumpy so I added milk until it was smooth and creamy. Then added the meat back in and simmered for 30 minutes to blend the flavors. It was wonderful. I am thinking to make this with chicken breast too. Thanks for the recipe. It is always fun to add your own ideas and be creative with someone elses recipe.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2006
I made this rich and hearty soup for the first time tonight on this cold chilly evening. It turned out better than I imagined it could of. This recipe is great with leftover ham which I had from our christmas dinner. I am glad that I doubled the recipe with my husband and two boys cleaning the pot. I also used 6 cups of chicken broth and 2 cups of water to make it more liquidy and it was superb. Thanks for such a great recipe. Goes great with cornbread.
