Thai Chicken Wings

Excellent!! For those of you who can't find the fish sauce... oyster sauce is NOT a substitute. They taste completely different. A shopping tip... You can find fish sauce at any asian store. The Vietnamese and Filipinos use fish sauce in their foods. It will be labeled "Patis" if you find the Filipino 'version'. Hope that helps!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2001
My husband and son (4) wouldn't stop raving over this one! Prior to baking... I dipped each chicken into the sauce and poured the remaining sauce over the chicken in the baking pan.

Candied Garlic Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2001
I marinated the chicken for only 6 hours... still turned out great. I also increased the temp. to 400 once I removed the foil cover. Delicious!

Chicken Hurry

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2001
Excellent. My husband and 4 year old boy loved it! And it was extremely easy to make. One thing different I did was to remove the cover during the last five minutes and increased the temp to 425. It made the outer layer of chicken a little 'crisper'.

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

Great dressing. I used raisins rather than cranberries (couldn't find dried cranberries) and it worked out well. Thanks for sharing!

Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2006
The marinade was awesome. We did not think the meat was tough (per some of the other reviews)... but then my hubbie grilled it perfectly! Definitely marinate it overnight.

Candied Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2001
Very simple to prepare. Well received by hubby and 6 year old son. Did not bread to avoid "soggyness" complaints. Used breast tenderloins and cooked for less than 1 hour - removed cover towards the end of baking. Added small can of pineapple rings with own juice (with sauce, prior to baking) to remedy the "too sweet" complaint. Turned out great. Served w/ rice and veggies.

Asian Chicken Noodle Bowl

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2003
The soup was easy to prepare. The 5-spice powder has a distinct and strong flavor (either you'll love it or hate it!) so do not over-use. My 6 year old son really loved the broth and noodles. My husband added a little hot sauce (as he does to everything) for a little zing!

Barbequed Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2001
I would recommend a different cut of mean - Ribeye? - for this recipe. BBQ'd flank steak is rather tough! Flank steak is better for stir frying.

Easy Salmon

I misread the recipe and added too much salad mix... so it turned out a bit tart. Overall it's a quick and easy recipe... one I'd try again.
