It's that time of year. All Hallow's Eve is approaching and I would love to hear your ghost stories and other happenings. Some stories are creepy, some can be scarey and some can be nice knowing a loved one is near while others are just unexplainable. Whatever your story is that you would… MORE

Homemade Melt-In-Your-Mouth Dark Chocolate (Paleo)
About this Cook
I love looking at and collecting recipes and have been doing so since I was a kid. Everytime I came across something someone made that I enjoyed I would ask for the recipe. I have a nice collection now and sometimes find it funny looking at a recipe that I thought was so good or intersting then and thinking now "I liked that?".
My favorite things to cook
Homemade pizza with fresh homemade dough. My next favorite is a pot of "Sunday" sauce and meatballs. I love how good my home smells while it's cooking and love dipping hunks of crusty bread into the sauce for a taste.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Stuffing for a holiday turkey. You just can't top homemade stuffing.
My cooking triumphs
Roasting a turkey. I was always intimidated. I didn't roast a turkey until several years ago and to my surprise it came out great. A girlfriend from work taught me. Made turkey soup with the leftovers and again surprised myself because it was delicious. I never knew homemade turkey soup could be so good.
My cooking tragedies
I've had enough but at least learned.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style
Not much more to add than what's already been said ... this recipe makes the BEST chicken hands down!! Incredible, delicious and the only way I'll make a whole chicken for now on. Perfect blend of seasonings. 10Stars Sue Rogers!!

Whole Chicken Slow Cooker Recipe
Excellent dish and as noted in another review is very similar to "Roast Sticky Chicken - Rotisserie Style" seasonings also on this site. I enjoyed very much not having to have the oven on and what a delicious meal this made. The stock it made was incredible and I was able to make plenty of gravy using it which I thicken up a bit with a cornstarch slurry. I did cut the salt back and used only 1 teaspoon and did stuff an onion in the cavity. When I bought the whole chicken for this dish I cleaned and seasoned it and instead of refrigerating overnight I wrapped it well and froze it, then when I knew I was going to make it I thawed it out in the refrigerator the day before. Worked very well and I'll do that again. This dish smelled amazing cooking and tasted amazing as well. Good idea to make it in the slowcooker bhbitts.

Kale Salad with Sprouts and Seeds
Delicious and nutritious! I greatly reduced the portion for just me and for convenience used baby kale greens, I find them to be tender and sweet and because they were baby greens I did not have to massage the dressing into the leaves or wait an hour to eat. For anyone who doesn't know what liquid amino acid taste like it taste like soy sauce. I grow my own sprouts so this salad was an ideal way to enjoy them! The dressing is great and what makes the salad. I added sundried tomatoes because I like them. Nice recipe hawkeye154. Thanks for sharing.
