Tonight I made BBQ chicken breasts.  My hubby said that it was the moistest he has ever had!  I was watching 5 Ingredient Fix on the Food Network and the host said add a little water less than a 1/4 inch in the bottom of the pan that you are cooking the chicken breast… MORE

About this Cook
I am a wife, mother of 3, and a HR professional.I love food. Although my appetite is not huge, I love to experiment in the kitchen. When I am not trying new recipes, I am sitting on the sofa reading cookbooks or my food magazines, watching the Food Network, or surfing and other food related sites. I guess you can say that food preparation is my hobby!
My favorite things to cook
I just like to cook. I will try anything.
My favorite family cooking traditions
On special occasions, each family member picks out of a hat, one of the following categories: Appetizer, Side Dish, Entree, Bread, and Dessert. Once they have drawn their dish, they tell me what they want to have and then we cook together. It is a lot of fun.
My cooking triumphs
Anytime I try something a new recipe, and my picky daughters actually eat it and request more!
My cooking tragedies
My first vegetable soup attempt - 10+ years ago. It looked and tasted like water with vegetables floating in it.

Home-Fried Potatoes
I was looking forward to trying this recipe because I love homefries with onion and bell pepper. I followed the recipe, the smell was intoxicating, but for me the end product was only okay. It lacked flavor. I wonder if using some flavor-infused olive oil when frying the potatoes would do the trick. I am going to also try and add a little more seasoning, maybe some roasted garlic.

Cheddar Bay Biscuits
WOW! These were amazing. After I try ever new recipe, I ask my husband if is this recipe is a keeper? Last night, his response was "tomorrow wouldn't be soon enough". They were moist, flavorful, and tasted incredible. Thank you for sharing!
