Yummy! I love this! I used more than 8oz salsa, just a whole jar (I think it was 12-16 oz) and an extra can of kidney beans. Yum Yum Yum!

Cream Cheese Blueberry Pie

I used 8oz cream cheese & added vanilla. I used fresh picked blueberries that had been frozen.....the skin was chewy and I did not like that. Would love to try it with strawberries or fresh fruit! YUm

Pork Chops for the Slow Cooker

Good flavor, I used 1/4 cup soy, honey, brown sugar, & ketchup. Threw in frozen chops, but one note--Use boneless pork chops because they are so tender they fell off the bones when serving & we were fishing for the small bones.

Oatmeal Chip Cookies

These cookies are ok, I prefer my standby recipe if I want choc chip cookies however. I thought these would be great and healthy and taste more like an oatmeal raisin cookie just with choc chips in place of raisins. Nope. The texture is nice, crunchy edges with chewy center but the oatmeal taste was just that of dry oats....disappointing.

Spiced Pot Roast

Very tasty, I put mine in the crock pot and let it cook on low 6-8 hours. About 2 hours before it's done I dump in a 16oz bag of baby carrots. I also use 4 cups of beef broth. I double the seasonings as well. Yummy with homemade mashed potatoes.

The Best Lemon Bars

This has a nice flavor but I made mine in an 8x11 glass dish and the crust was soooo thick. Too thick I think, and yes I had to cook the crust longer-until lightly browned. If you are going to use a pan this size I would increase the filling by double to make up for the thickness of the crust bc keeping it as is it was 1/2 and 1/2 for thickness. Everybody loved them though! My first time making lemon bars super easy and yummy.

Cream Cheese Pound Cake I

I was so excited to make this, but after 1 hour 10 min it was nice and brown and beautiful. Within 10 min of removing it from the oven it sank to half it's height.....I flipped it over onto a plate and it looked so pitiful. I beat the cream cheese/butter/sugar for over 5 min with a handheld mixer...maybe that was the problem-the handheld mixer. I also only had 5 eggs, so used 1/4 cup applesauce for the last egg....maybe that was the problem. Oh well I will stick to my lemon pound cake yumm

Blue Cheese and Pear Tartlets

I used a fresh pear from my parent's tree and a high quality blue cheese, but was dissapointed in them. I guess I expected them to be a little sweeter. I used roll out pie shell and used a glass to cut out circles and put them in a regular muffin tin, it made 12 tarts. They just tasted like blue cheese, so nothing spectacular. II gave it 3 stars because my daughter(6) took a bite and said, "mom, these are fantastic" so I gave credit for her opinion. However not 5 stars since the rest of us didn't care for them. I will not be making again.

Sausage Balls

Tasty but dry and over cooked! The time is too long for a gas oven on the middle rack. Mine didn't burn but were very dark after 30 min, so the next batch I cooked for 25 min but still came out dark. I lowered the temp to 355 and cooked for 25 min still and had a little less darkness but still darker than I've had them before at a baby shower. I didn't want to risk having the meat undercooked so I didn't chance lowering the temp or time any lower.

Chunky Monkey Pancakes

These are soooo good, they don't even need syrup. My whole family loved them! I used white chocolate chips instead and they really were perfect! Make sure to serve with butter on top & a dusting of powdered sugar and homemade whip cream on the side. YUM YUM
