Beef Samosas

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2008
Very good. I did not use wonton wrappers but instead made the samosas from a dough. The filling was delicious and was made as directed. Will definitely make these again.

Curried Chicken Tea Sandwiches

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2008
Robin, Robin, Robin! This is a fantastic recipe. I thought that I had all the ingredints but found that I had purchased fresh cranberries instead of dried. I just chopped them up and used them anyway. I think I ate about 1/3 of the curried chicken before I got around to making the sandwiches. I took them to a baby shower and the attendees raved about them. I'll be making these again this week for a going away party. You really hit it out of the park with this one! Many thanks

Fettuccini Tomato Rustica II

So easy! Excellent flavor. My daughter-in-law and I made this. As suggested, we used less oil. The recipe makes much more than four servings.

I also only used one seasoning pack. This was pretty good and it was so easy.

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2008
It is a pity that I can only give this recipe five stars. I took it to a pot luck at work today. It got rave reviews and I had many, many requests for the recipe. This salad is wonderful! I did not change a thing.

Good. This recipe got a good response from the family. I'll cut back on the onion next time.

Slow Cooker Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2008
I gave this recipe 3 stars because I had mixed reviews from family and friends. A couple of people loved it. The rest said it was just ok. Maybe it is because all those who ate it grew up on real Mexican or Tex-Mex food and while this is a fairly good imitation, it is not the real thing.

Four Cheese Macaroni

I got a lot of compliments on this. It seemed a bit dry to me but maybe I overcooked it.

The Best Chicken Salad Ever

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2004
My package had 6 chicken breasts so I tripled the recipe, making 1 batch at a time. I followed the recipe exactly the first time, thought it had a bit too much onion for me wanted a chunkier recipe. I made the dressing only for the second batch - omitting the onion but adding a jalapeno and 3T fresh parsley then added the chicken chunks after the dressing was blended. For the third batch I made the dressing with a lesser amount of onion and added chicken chunks after blending. I tossed all three batches together and aside from having a green chicken salad (due to the parsley) it was perfect. This recipe makes a very good chicken salad that lends itself to personalizing to taste preferences. Absolutely a keeper!

Chess Pie

My husband made this pie and it was ok but did not set up well and tasted like it was missing something although he followed the recipe exactly. We might try it again.

Easter Meat Pie

My husband made this and it was wonderful! He did have to cook it longer than the stated time in order to get the crust to brown.

Chiles Rellenos (Stuffed Peppers)

This recipe just did not have enough flavor. It was ok, but I think tatse did not justify the preparation effort.

Chicken Scampi II

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2004
The 3 stars I'm giving this recipe is a compromise. My family thought it should be a four and I rated it a two. It needed more salt and was just too greasy for my taste. If the family wants it again they will have to make it because I won't.

Ok, so I'm not the world's best cook. I forgot to thaw the chicken so I cooked it frozen and added another 30 minutes cooking time. It was wonderful. What a forgiving, tasty recipe!

Amish Yumazuti

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2003
This dish was easy to make. Even though I used the canned tomatoes with jalapenos, I found it to be rather bland. My husband on the other hand really liked it. I will make the recipe again, but will add a few spices, maybe cumin and cayenne or oregano and basil.
