About this Cook
Well about me.....I am a proud mommy of a beautiful boy who we were blessed with on 11/13/2008! And I am happily married to a wonderful man. I have always loved to cook but a couple years ago I was diagnosed with MS so now my cooking is also therapeutic. Nothing is better than going in the kitchen and whipping up something great to eat to help relieve your stress!
My favorite things to cook
My husband is a stew/soups, seafood and meat and potatoes kind of guy! I love to make Vegetable beef soup, thick meaty chili,"wet" burritos,and any type of seafood. And I love the smell of a roast slow cooking in my crock pot!
My favorite family cooking traditions
We are big on making Chex-Mix around the Holidays. My dad, my sister and I all love to make it. And my grandpa made the best No-Bake cookies so I always use his recipe when I make those. And every year for our birthdays my parents make our favorite foods for us.
My cooking triumphs
Wet burritos made with pot roast.....delicious! Mushrooms stuffed with shrimp and scallops. Chicken tacos.
My cooking tragedies
One of my favorite meals is Meatloaf and for some reason I can not make a decent meatloaf. It's quite sad, actually.

Smothered Pork Chops
The whole family loved it. I did use the suggestion to add worchestire sauce and hot sauce, and went real light on the browning sauce. Will be making again!

Tater Tot Bake
This is a very popular dish in our house. But my husband does not like anything cooked with mushroom soup so I always substitute with the packaged Country gravy mix. It has a grest taste.

Slow Cooker Casserole
I needed a recipe to use what I had on hand and this was it. Alot of reviews said it was to thick so I used 2 cans of soup and 2 cans of water. I also precooked my chicken since I did not have the time the recipe called for and I added flavored bread crumbs on top. It was a hit!
