Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2011
This recipe was so easy. I added some cinnamon and ground ginger. It's a very good base recipe. Good but not spectacular. I have a feeling though that it will be better the day after. Next time I'll add more spices and walnuts. I'd also separate it into two pans to cut down on the cooking time.

The Best Clam Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
The only thing I added to this was red pepper flakes. It's so good that I don't order white wine clam sauce at restaurants anymore. They never live up to this one.

Butter Cream Frosting II

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2008
I had to make a super quick frosting this morning and this is the one i had all the ingredients for. I love it. I didn't have margarine or shortening so i just used all butter. It tasted wonderful. I did ad about 1/4 cup of merange (sp) powder to help stiffen it up. my only suggestion is to refridgerate for about 1 hour before using if you are going to decorate with it. I also added 8oz of cream cheese to half the batch for a second cake. It turned out to be one of the best cream cheese frostings i have ever made. I will defately use this as a base for my frostings from now on.

I love these crab cakes. I like to have them in the morning with toast. They are also a great appetizer or a great main dish. My boyfriend and 2 year old also love them. No changes needed for this recipe. It is perfect just the way it is written.

Pecan Sour Cream Pound Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2007
If you are looking for the perfect pound cake look no furthere. This is the best pound cake ever. It isn't as dense as the ones you get in the store but I like my pound cakes a little lighter. I don't ever use the glaze b/c this cake stands alone just fine. I make it all the time and always get requests for the recipe. This is a new family favorite.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2007
These cookies are so so so good. I didn't like them on the first day though. Better on the second or third day, although I'm not sure why. This is now one of my favorite bake ahead of time recipes. They also freeze very well.

Penne with Spicy Vodka Tomato Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2007
We just love this recipe!!! I made it last night for dinner and my boyfriend just loved it! A few changes for the next time though: 1/8 cup of oil instead of the full 1/4 cup. It was too oily and we had to soak some up off the top. 3 sausage links instead of 2. Tomato sauce instead of crushed tomatoes. 3 tablespoons of Vodaka and omit the parsley. 1 large can of mushrooms. My boyfriend liked it so much that he is going to make it for the firehouse when he goes to work tomorrow night!!! This is a new favorite and we will make it again and again.

Cinnamon Rolls II

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2007
I made this recipe for my boyfriend and his co-workers, (they're firemen). They absolutely loved them. Now they all want the recipe so that they can have their wives/girlfriends make them at home. They especially loved the icing. I did need a little extra flour. Also I made up an extra batch of the cinnamon/brown sugar. I put it in a bowl with melted butter (just enought to make a slightly runny paste). Then I spread it over the tops of the cinnamon rolls right befor they go in the oven. It gives them just that much more yumminess. They especially loved the icing. These are now a favorite among my family, co-workers, and several local firehouses.
