Pork Chops with Herbed Gravy

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
Great, quick recipe with lots of flavor. I used boneless loin chops, pan fried for a few minutes on each side. I used fresh chopped garlic and onions in the sauce. I didn't add the tomatoes, maybe next time I will. My kids and husband loved it. I'll be making this again.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2007
I made this last night. After reading the reviews I omitted the lemon juice because I was using low fat mayo as well. I also added breadcrumbs to the mix and it browned nicely and seemed to hold everything together on top of the fish. My husband loved it and it was very simple.

Baked Scallops

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2007
This was deeelicious! I added a little bit of old bay to the breadcrumbs and I sauteed the garlic with some shallots (no onions on hand) It had alot of flavor and I paired it with the asparagus & angel hair pasta for a quick and tasty meal. My whole family (including my 5 year old) loved it.

Pasta with Asparagus

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2007
This was a great, easy side. I added red peppers like others had mentioned. I also did a quick "thickening" sauce with some stock and cornstarch and tossed it with the pasta to give it a little more substance. It was great, and even the 5 year old ate it. I served it with the baked scallops that are on this site and it was a quick and easy meal that everyone liked.

Pan-Seared Chicken Breasts with Shallots

Really quick and easy. I made extra sauce and added a few more shallots and mushrooms. I served it over angel hair pasta with fresh veggies and it was great.

This is a great way to cook any type of green. I have also added a little green onion as well.

Sesame Tilapia

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2007
I'm not sure what went wrong for me, but I made it by the recipe and it was awful. I wanted to try something different with my tilapia, but I feel like I just wasted my money on the fish. We won't be doing this again. My son said it tasted like the smell of paint.

Salmon Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2007
We loved this recipe, even my 5 & 7 year olds. I made it with fresh salmon, cut down on the mild and just used additional broth, 1/2 of the recommended amount of cheese and it was still thick and creamy. I did drop a few drops of hickory smoke in it. For my bowl I added some fresh chopped basil and it was great, it helped offset the sweetness from the corn. I will definetly be making this again.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2006
This was fabulous. I followed the recipe, only adding a little sugar to the graham crackers for the crust. I baked it with a pan filled with water underneath the cheesecake. My top came out perfectly, no splits or bubbles. Everyone loved it. I did have a little extra batter ( I used a 9" pan) so I filled some muffin cups with a graham cracker and the batter and had "mini" cheesecakes.
