Yum! This is delicious! I cut the sugar to 1/4 cup, 1 T butter, and added raisins. I agree that it is sweet enough this way and I am a sweet addict.

Rich and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2011
I LOVE this soup! I followed the directions exactly except I only had 3 tomatoes so I used them and one 14.5 oz can of diced tomatoes with oregano and basil. Oh, and I didn't peel the tomatoes but did seed them. Delicious!

these are soo good! I dipped the chicken in egg with a little milk and forgot the garlic. I didn't make the sauces, but dipped the chicken in a honey mustard sauce. Yum!

Texas Chicken Quesadillas

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2011
Mmm, this is a keeper! I am rating it 5 stars since I think it's probably amazing as is, but I'll also tell you what I did. First of all, I only had one leftover breast shredded, so that's what I used. I followed the directions for the onions exactly and they were amazing (and we aren't onion fans). When I added the chicken and bbq sauce, I also added a whole sliced green pepper and cut up mushrooms along with some bacon bits and chopped black olives. At some point I added about a 1/4 cup of salsa. Then I finished as the directions stated. Even with only one ckn breast, I still ended up with 4 full quesadillas (8 tortillas). My husband LOVED these. He just ate some and had to go cut the grass before dark and asked me to keep them warm so he can have more when he gets done!

No-Cream Pasta Primavera

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
Mmm, this is delicious!! The changes I made were minor. I added an extra squash, zucchini, carrot and some mushrooms and still felt that there was plenty of pasta (bowtie). I also added sausage and definitely recommend it. It really adds to the flovor and ability to fill you up! I was out of lemon juice and will definitely use it next time. My husband went back for thirds (partly because it does take a lot to fill you up, but he loved it) and took it for lunch today. We will absolutely be having this again soon!

My husband and I love this recipe. I use it just about every time I cook fish now! I've used both dijon and honey mustard and both are delicious.

Black Friday Turkey Salad

This was delicious with lettuce and spinach on a wrap, but there was way too much mustard for my taste. I did use dijon mustard, but it was incredibly overwhelming. I would cut the amount to 1 T.

Best Chicken Ever

Very simple! We really enjoyed it. I added some ranch dressing to the sour cream, but I think that was the only change I made - oh and I used Crispix cereal since I had it on hand.

Oat Snack Mix

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2010
Mmm, I haven't even added the cranberries or chocolate covered raisins and I know this is a winner. For our preferences, I added about 1 1/2 cups twisted pretzels, a couple T of flax seed to the butter mix, peanuts instead of walnuts and used Crispix instead of "square oat cereal." Oh, also, I ran out of honey so I used half maple syrup/half honey. I can't tell a big difference there. I can't wait for my hubby to try it!

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2010
I used two chicken breasts and the amount of liquid was perfect, so I might double it for the full recipe. I thought this was a very good recipe. I did not have any balsamic vinegar, so I used apple cider vinegar. I would give this 5 stars but my husband gave it 5 so 4.5 it is! By the way, I served it with Roasted Yams from this site (sooooo good) and Sesame Green Beans.

Mmmmm, that was so good! My husband just finished his and asked if I could make these again! High praise. I don't think I changed anything but used bacon bits and store bought croutons. I also served it all on a spinach wrap. Thank you!

Basic Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
This is a great recipe for as simple as it is. There are way too many dirty dishes for 4 ingredients, though!! That part was not so nice. The only change I made was to add a can of tomato sauce and a bunch of spices b/c of the plain sauce. Oh, also I used an additional cup of mozz. cheese and mixed half a cup of each in the mixture and topped with the other.

15-Minute Dinner Nachos Supreme

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2009
Yummy! We loved this! it is such a yummy, easy dinner. I'll definitely be making it again. The only changes I made were to have sour cream available and when the rice/meat mixture was done, I topped with the salsa, cheese, and sliced olives. I then covered it all and heated on low until the cheese was melted. Oh, and I also added a drained can of diced tomatoes, but I don't think they were necessary, yummy, though!
