Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs
Too much ketchup/sugar taste - way too sweet, especially for diabetics.

Slow Cooker Ham
The recipe was way too sweet for me (it's just a personal preference.) I tried it again in the crockpot using a spiral sliced ham, and pouring 1 can of cola on the ham, instead of the brown sugar and cooking it on low for about 5 hours. The sweetness was perfect for me, and I do believe it would be better for diabetics also. Also, to cut the sweetness, you can add mustard, which, when used with brown sugar is quite good. This basic recipe has hundreds of variations depending on personal tastes. You can add cranberry sauce and mustard for a really delicious taste.

Baked Soy Lemon Chops
I have found through experience, that when a recipe says to marinate in a soy sauce marinade, do NOT over-marinate - that only allows the salty soy to further permiate the meat, thus making it more salty than if you had marinated for the specific time (such as 1 hour, or perhaps a little longer). I used lite soy, and marinated for 1 hour 15 minutes, and it came out just fine - not too salty. This will go on my rotation dinner file.
