Easy Lemon Bars

Reviewed: May 22, 2008
This was a very quick and easy recipe. I like more of a tart flavor then a sweet flavor so I added 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to the cake mixture (as suggested) and 2 1/2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice to the cream cheese mixture. I kept the sugar amount the same and added some lemon zest. Baked for about 18 minutes after adding the cream cheese mixture on top. The bars were easy to cut and came out of the pan with no problems. They are more of a cream cheese bar but still very yummy and a great alternative for my daughter who is allergic to eggs. Easy to substitute 1 egg then the several that are in a normal lemon bar recipe. Great recipe, will make again.

Baked French Fries I

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2006
We really enjoyed this recipe! My 8yr old son, who can be very picky said these were the best french fries he has ever had! I did follow the suggestion of another reviewer and used parchment paper, they turned out crispy. I also sprinkled some parmesean cheese on the fries towards the end. I'm trying to stay away from fast food fries and these hit the spot. Great recipe!

Golden Rum Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2004
This recipe is soooo EASY and the taste is out of this world!!! It's great warmed up and served with vanilla ice cream and tastes just as good alone with a cup of coffee or big glass of milk. My husband loved this recipe and couldnt keep out of the cake. I poured half the glaze back into the bundt pan and then reinserted the cake and poured the rest on, as suggested, it worked great. The cake looks and tastes great and is easy to make, can't ask for more then that!!! Thanks!

Jam Filled Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2004
A simple recipe that is easy to make. Very yummy and the kids enjoyed putting their thumbprint in the cookies to make a well for the jam. I like the fact that it only has 5 ingredients and they are ones that most people have in their frig/pantry. Thanks for the yummy recipe!

Apple Dumplings I

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2003
This is a wonderful and simple dessert! The flavors are great together and it's so easy to prepare. I have made it serveral times for company and they always ask for the recipe. The sauce is yummy and the dumplings taste great alone and even more yummy served with some vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. I have always used a quarter of the apple in each biscuit instead of the half. Enjoy!
