Picnic Marinated Summer Slaw

I made this for a 4th of July party and it just didn't do it for anyone. The fresh veggies were wonderful, of course, but the dressing was far from being good. I tried doctoring with other ingredients. It didn't work. I will not try this again.

Almond-Crusted Halibut Crystal Symphony

First, the sauce is terrific! It is time consuming, but so well worth the effort. The only change I made was the type of fish. The store where I shop did not have fresh halibut, so I used fresh haddock which worked perfectly. This was a super meal.

Roasted New Red Potatoes

Chef John's Beef Goulash

I made this tonight on a snowy day. Perfect day to make it because it needs to simmer for several hours. I followed the recipe exactly and all I can say is it was delicious. Definitely a keeper.

Angel Hair Pasta with Garlic Shrimp and Broccoli

I really dislike giving a recipe from this site a poor review, but this recipe has a lot to be desired. My husband and I enjoy eating everything in this dish, but it was very bland. Nothing came together to make it enjoyable. I kept adding spices, hot sauce, etc. to the sauce and nothing did the trick. This dish was edible, but definitely will not prepare this again. If you want a great alfredo sauce, check this site for just the alfredo sauce. Now that is to die for.

Healthier Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Made this last night and it is truly delicious. As for the herbs, I used dried basil, garlic powder, fish seasoning, salt, and pepper. I took the advice of the allrecipes kitchen staff; broil 3 minutes, then 2 minutes, and finally 2 more minutes. I would definitely make this again.

Fig and Arugula Salad

This salad is a keeper. I used pears, as suggested, which worked out perfectly. Loved the combination of flavors and so easy to prepare. I served this with fettuccine alfredo. Will definitely make this again.

Easy Tilapia with Wine and Tomatoes

I made this tonight for dinner and it is an easy and quick recipe. I used the stated ingredients, but went less on the butter and wine. I also added shaved parmesan to the top of the fish. This was an okay meal, but probably will not make this again. There are so many great ways to make tilapia.

Grandma's Corn Pudding

I made this for Thanksgiving and it was a success. Everyone enjoyed it very much. It is easy to assemble and into the oven to bake. Will definitely make this again.

Baked Maryland Lump Crab Cakes

I followed the review #23 because it seemed more like a Maryland crab cake. I did not bake, but broiled. The first 5minutes I broiled on high then lower broiler during the last 5 minutes. Absolutely delicious!

Honey Soy Tilapia

We enjoyed this last night for dinner. Easy and very tasteful, with little clean up afterwards. Served with red skinned mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. Will definitely make again.

Chicken Marsala

I made this tonight and followed the directions-almost. It was wonderful and easy. The only thing I added was to make a slurry using chicken broth and cornstarch. I served it with mashed potatoes and brocolli. Will definitely make this again.

I made this tonight and even though there were no summer tomatoes, it was delicious. Followed the directions and it was perfect.Our fillets were medium rare just like we want them to be. Definitely will make this in the summer months when tomatoes are sweet and fresh.

Grilled Pork Chops with Balsamic Caramelized Pears

I made this tonight and it was fantastic. The pork was was done to perfection and the balsamic and pears added a special touch. Will definitely make this again. The only thing I did differently was to double the balsamic vinegar. Served the chops with a side salad(tomatoes from my garden) and corn on the cob done on the grill.

Italian Vegetable Soup

I made this last week and it is absolutely delicious. I added some extra vegetables which needed to be used. The only thing I did differently was to cook off a piece of beef which gave me a good stock, so I eliminated the water and bouillon granules. Aso, as others suggested, I cooked the pasta and then added it to the bowls before serving. Loved the taste of the Italian herbs. I will definitely make this again. I recommend cooking this slowly so the herb flavorings have a chance to penetrate the broth.

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini

This soup is absolutely delicious. Followed the recipe exactly. I would definitely recommend this to my friends. I used the fresh tomatoes, fresh spinach, and all the other healthy ingredients.
