Scott's Savory BBQ Sauce

My very hard to please husband, LOVED this sauce. I cut the recipe in half and used Splenda brown sugar blend to cut back on calories a bit. Personally, I would add just a tad less vinegar, but that's probably what hubby liked about it. A very nice mix of sweet and sour.

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

I loved this recipe! It was especially helpful that I was able throw it together and have it on the table in about 45minutes tops. I believe some had commented about a vinegery taste; Balsamic needs to be cooked long enough to cook off the vinegar part but leaves behind the rich flavor that you find in top restaurants.

Middle Eastern Rice with Black Beans and Chickpeas

Wonderful, easy recipe that makes a lot of food. Provides a lot of flavor without a lot of time. Also, once the initial spice purchase is made, it is a very economical meal. I have made it twice now. I didn't have turmeric the first time around, it's definitely better with it, but not bad without it either. I did throw in 1/2 diced onion to saute along with the meat. Last night, I served it with fresh pita bread and greek style yogurt as an accompaniment. Definitely a keeper.

Ham and Bean Soup II

I loved this soup. It was SUper easy. I did double the amount of seasoning and added a couple of extra carrots. I also cooked it in the crockpot for about 6 hours. It was perfect for a chilly day and even better the next day.

Quick Chicken Stew

Everyone in my family loved this and went back for seconds, quite a rarity due the picky tendencies. I put the zucchini in last and cooked just long enough to maintain the shape. My family, does not like overcooked zucchini!

Stir-Fried Steak and Veggies

Wow this was so easy and so good! Even my non-veggie eating child went back for seconds and even thirds. I went looking for a recipe to stretch a small piece of marked down sirloin, and ended up with a gourmet meal. Thanks!
