About this Cook
I love to cook and am constantly trying to expand my knowledge of cooking. I love cooking dinner for my friends and my family but I am always on a diet so I don't usually get to enjoy them myself. He he make everyone else around me fatter so I look skinnier... just joking.
My favorite things to cook
I generally like cooking fish rather than meats and poultry because I tend to be a little impatient and my meat usually comes out slightly undercooked whereas fish is very quick.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother did not really cook we always joked that she microwaved, reheated, and dialed the phone. My step-mother is Chilean and introduced me to some more ethnic food such as Empanadas. She also makes to most amazing Brisket. My Nana is your typical Jewish grandma, she makes amazing chicken soup, kreplach, white fish salad well it's safe to say everything she makes is beyond incredible.
My cooking triumphs
Me and my sister made a spinach rollatini with tomato sauce all made from scratch including the pasta which was a pain to roll out. The meal took us 6 hours to make but it was well worth it.
My cooking tragedies
The chocolate cream pie that followed that dinner. We only had skim milk in the house and the chocolate kinda flopped. It still tasted ok but the chocolate kinda oozed out when we cut it.

Fluffy Two Step Cheesecake I
Great cheesecake doubled the cream cheese and put in about 6 oz of extra creamy cool whip. Super easy and everyone raved about it in fact I'm going to have a slice right now mmmmm

Chicken Broth in a Slow Cooker
This is my first time making chicken broth and my second time using my slow cooker. I bought a "soup" veggie pack from the store that had turnips, parsnips, leeks, carrots, onion, celery, dill and parsley all in the package chopped it up and threw it all in with a thigh, wing and drumstick pack it smells and tastes amazing.
