Pizza Dough III

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
Very easy directions to follow. Due to phone calls and going out to the store, my dough rose longer than the 30 minutes and it nearly tripled in size. The pizza base was light and tastey! I did not have a pizza pan-we rolled it out on a cookie sheet. I plan to buy a pizza pan for the next pizza which I know there will be many.

Beer Bread I

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2008
Super easy directions to follow. Like many others, I increased the sugar to 1/3 cup. I added a handful of cheese to mine and allowed it to rise for 3o minutes before baking. I also took others advice and poured melted butter to my loaf beforehand and mid-way through as well. YUMMY and moist!!!!!

Red and Green Christmas Jalapeno Jelly

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2007
LOVE THE TASTE!!!!!! Made 2 batches and gave them out as Christmas gifts. WILL definitely do this again next year. I chopped the peppers using a food processor which made it much easier. The second batch I took others advice and left the jalapeno seeds in to give it more heat. I ended up giving two types of pepper jelly away-Sweet Pepper Jelly and Spicey Pepper Jelly. Many thanks for a great posting!

Sparkling Holiday Jam

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2007
INCREDIBLE TASTE!!!!!! This was a very easy recipe to follow. I've made two batches of this so far and plan to give them away as gifts for Christmas this year. The first batch have already been distributed amongst staff and they gave rave reviews. The second batch, I added mandarin liquer which I believe enhances the taste. I was able to make between 10-12 pint size jars with this recipe. A definite keeper recipe which I plan to continue to make this each year as my traditional Christmas Gift along with a loaf of homemade bread. Many thanks for this posting!!!!!!

Cheesy Ham and Asparagus Bake

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2007
Very tasty! I used fresh asparagus and cooked them half way. I added fresh sliced mushrooms, garlic and basil. I made this for a Sunday Brunch and every piece was eaten. I plan to add more onions, and Parmesan cheese the next time. As a result of these additions, the cooking time was between 35-40 minutes. A definite keeper!!!!!!!!

Artichoke Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2007
I followed directions and was sadly dissappointed. I felt it was too creamy and bland tasting. It reminded me of the artichoke dip except with chicken. I won't make this again unless I have no other alternative.

Whole Wheat Beer Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2007
WOW! So good and yummy. VERY EASY to make. Bread tastes much better the second day once the beer taste settles. Very good with pasta as well as with sandwiches and salad. I used Heineken which was strong but ever so good the following days. Will definitely bake again and experiment with other beers.

Dark Chocolate Cake II

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2007
Very moist and delicious! I increased this recipe 4 times and baked the cake in a 12x18 cake pan and baked at 325 degrees for 45-50 minutes. This cake was for a four year-old party and pretty nuch every piece was consumed by both parents and children. One parent told me that her son never eats the cake part-only the icing so this was definitely impressive to her. I highly recommend this recipe!

Simple Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: May 13, 2007
So delicious!!!!!! I am not a bread eater but this recipe has won my heart. I followed the directions exactly and what transpired was an incredible tasting bread. The honey definitely makes this bread. I would not change the quantity as suggested by others. I made three loaves and gave two of them away for Mothers Day to close friends. One friend asked me if I can make her and her family a loaf per week. I highly recommend this recipe. So yummy and good!
