Thank you commenters for telling the 'secrets' of how to fix a dry turkey, because my old computer doesn't do videos. I have had a dry turkey a time or two over the past 50 years.

I agree with in a bag is awesome and quicker!! And the turkey still browns. It is deeeeelicious!! Try it and you won't be disappointed.

take a 1 gal. ziplock bag of ice and cover the breast for about 30 minutes before cooking. This makes the breast cooler than the thighs. It adds cooking time to the breast. The breast is always done before the thighs. When you cook the turkey until the thighs are done, then the breast is overcooked and dried out. Cooling down the breast will cause the breast and thighs to be done at the same time.

I think that is probably one of the most common problems each year. I enjoyed seeing my solution in this video...Slice the turkey, place in a pan with some warm stock, cover and put in the oven for a few minutes @350 degrees. Works every time.

One trick not mentioned in the video is to cook your turkey in an oven bag. Those keep the meat really juicy and delicious!

Brining your turkey really does make a world of difference BUT I don't recommend brining turkeys that have already been injected with a salt solution. (ie - Butterball) It takes a bit of advanced planning but is well worth the effort.
