There are many days, like today, when I would need a mixer to make most cookies. An injury to my trapezious muscle leaves me quite unable to mix with my dominant arm many days. I'm debating trying to make chocolate chip oatmeal cookies or making no-bakes. The difference? I don't have a mixer, I'm at my parents' and my mom's KA stand mixer went to my house when she passed away. I am debating if I will be able to mix cookies today or not. I really want the dough, not the cookies!

These cookies are tasty and wonderful. I am always amazed how some people review the recipe then proceed to give the changes. Well, dah, if you are reviewing the given recipe should the changes be included? That makes another recipe!

I don't understand why a VIDEO needed to be made to show that one doesn't need to use a mixer for chocolate chip cookies. I've been making cookies of all kinds for over 20 years without a mixer, are people really that dependent on mixers that they think stuff can't be made without one?

You don't need an electric mixer for cookies, but it helps :) I like getting my butter, sugar and egg whipped to make them a little lighter. But I made cookies and brownies for years without my mixer and they worked just fine!
