I haven't had very good luck with the microwave method. The bacon always sticks to the paper towel. I do love making it in the oven though! No mess like on the stove. I've also started cooking mine on our outdoor grill, especially if I'm already making burgers. I just put it over very low flame and turn it frequently. It surprisingly doesn't cause too many flare ups!

I prefer to prepare a few pounds at a time and reheat in microwave as needed. Spread the bacon on wire baking rack placed in jelly roll pan. 400 for approx 20 mins depending on strip size. Grease drips away from meat and easy to clean up, especially if you line jelly roll pan with foil and spray rack with nonstick spray. I like to cool cooked between paper towels to absorb excess fat. Handy to always have cooked bacon for all cooking!

The best way I was taught by my Mom was to use yesterdays newspaper. Open to center and place 2 sheets of paper towel on either side. Layer your bacon and close newspaper. Cook till done and remove bacon, put paper in trash and No clean up at all!

I'm with jboutall. It sounds strange, but I like using my "George Foreman" to fry bacon, also. Same thing I do, turn it to cook evenly.

I like flat bacon for sandwiches. Oven baking does it with no trouble. Microwave cooking will do it if I use a second plate on top of the paper towels for a weight. I don't have a press to use in the fry pan so that is out of the question.

The quickest and easist way I found for cooking bacon is using a large George Forman Grill. You're cooking both sides of the bacon at once and the grease drains into the cup. It doesn't splatter. I do turn it after a minute since the bottom unit cooks hotter than the top.

This little tip was one that we used when baking bacon in the oven. We were doing over 30# of bacon for our park. Putting it under hot water to warm the grease on the bacon made it sooo much easier to seperate and it keeps the bacon from shrinking too. Try it, it works.
