Excellent recipe. I lived in the New Orleans area for a few years and at work we always celebrated by bringing in King Cake. Whoever got the baby inside brought the next cake in. They make them with many different fillings, so we had a King Cake at work every day of the season.

I'm very anxious to try this as I love anything with cream cheese. Such a simple easy recipe to follow plus not having to run and buy extra ingredients. These are the best kind of recipes when anybody that bakes, has the required ingredients on hand anyway. That's a plus!

Beans, nuts, etc. can be baked along with the cake, but DON'T bake a plastic baby - it'll usually melt and that's all kinds of dangerous.
